Between the banks of the Österdalälven river and the northern end of Lake Siljan, First Camp Moraparken - Dalarna offers a family holiday close to nature in the heart of Sweden. The campsite, which is open all year round, has a flat forest and meadow area including a hut village as well as caravan and motorhome pitches and is located outside the small town of Mora, known as the destination of the legendary Wasa race. The cross-country ski trail runs right through the holiday park. Facilities such as an indoor swimming pool, indoor tennis centre, adventure golf, children's playgrounds and a bowling alley provide pure leisure fun. The surrounding waters are ideal for canoe and pedalo tours. A day of swimming at Siljan and a trip to the fairytale land of Tomteland are also worthwhile. If you are interested in Swedish folk art, visit the workshops of the famous wooden Dala horses in the village of Nusnäs.

At the beginning of August 2023, we stayed for two nights in a camper at the campsite. We arrived without a reservation late in the afternoon and had no problems finding a spot on the large grounds (though this may also have been due to the bad weather). There are several sanitary facilities that were always clean, as well as family/group baths (presumably for training camps which are advertised everywhere), a children's bath (small toilet, small shower, baby tub), and kitchens. On the extensive grounds, there are also two swimming beaches, a fitness trail, several playgrounds, and a bouncy pillow. Kettcars can be rented. The campsite was fairly quiet during our stay, only in the evenings there was sometimes very loud music near service building 4 (where the shop is), but this could perhaps be different if a training camp is taking place. The swimming pool located on the campsite is unfortunately closed on Saturdays from 3 PM and completely closed on Sundays. Through two bridges, you can quickly walk to the small town of Mora, where there is among other things a pedestrian zone with a supermarket, shops, restaurants, and the Zorn Museum. The bad weather somewhat marred our stay (then some pitches were heavily flooded or in the mud), but otherwise, you can certainly have a great time here.

Clean facility with several toilets and showers, sauna, bowling alley, and swimming pool. Unfortunately, it is very loud as the site is right by the main road. One cannot really find peace.

It is a large facility with four service houses and clean amenities. A bowling alley, ice rink, and both an outdoor and indoor swimming pool are right next door. We felt very comfortable next to the lake and with the tall trees. Only a bit impersonal.

Super top campsite very nicely located. Sanitary facilities are spacious and absolutely clean. Located not far from the town center and the tip of the beautiful Lake Siljan.
