A wonderful campsite for families. We have been here several times and will definitely return. Great opportunities for hiking, climbing, paddling, and swimming right on-site in a spectacular river valley. Campsite rental/accommodation: A pitch in the first row by the river with plenty of space.

👍 You can hike, climb, and swim directly from the campsite... Right by the campsite, there is a beautiful swimming spot on the Chassezac. The campsite itself is quite small, and the pitches are very shady in a little woodland behind tall rocks. In high summer, it’s great when it’s so hot, but in the off-season, a bit more sun would be nice. Great for kids: there are some small animals that they can even feed. The shop has the essentials, but it’s rather expensive and closed at lunchtime. There are herbs to pick for cooking. Campsite pitch/rental: Square, practical, good (-; Everything you need is provided. Bed linen or sleeping bags must be brought along. Also, towels. 👎 The campsite is very remote; without a car, you can hardly do anything. Unless you have bicycles with you, but everything is quite hilly! I mean this only for shopping and excursions to nearby places or...

Friendly welcome and the kindness of the attentive staff. Quiet and well-shaded campground. Sanitary facilities are in very good condition and clean, even after the passage of some foreign clients (G) who lack respect for the staff's work. Location/Rental accommodation: Ample space and very reasonable rates.

Cons

Access could be improved regarding the width of the path. There is always the fear of meeting a vehicle going up or down, especially in a motorhome. Location/Rental accommodation: The lack of politeness from some foreigners, Germans among others, who do not know the word hello, etc.

👍 The surroundings are stunning. From the campsite, you can easily walk to the river, where you can swim (don't forget your water shoes!), paddle, or canoe. Truly beautiful! There are also hiking paths from the campsite that run along the water, gorgeous! Basic facilities: small restaurant, bread available on order, table tennis. You really have to enjoy peace and nature. We had a great time; it was super! Pitch/Accommodation: Inside tidy, new, clean, well-kept! 👎 The facilities are basic (which was fine for us), but don't expect extensive entertainment. The supermarket is a fifteen-minute drive away. The road to get there is full of hairpin bends (difficult to reach with a caravan). We had a chalet with very little space around it and a small porch. We would have liked a bit more space around the chalet. Also, there isn't really a playground (just a very small climbing tower). But otherwise, it was super.

Well-designed camping at a great rocky beach. Many activities within walking distance. Campsite/Rental accommodation: Good amenities in a small space.
