Kompas Camping Westende

The campsite is quite lovely and well-kept. The shop consists solely of vending machines. Currently, there is only one restaurant and no snack bar. I find the very limited number of toilets to be a significant drawback. Here, one must be prepared to have time and patience.

The campsite is excellent; the sanitary facilities are new, but unfortunately, according to my count, there are only 13 showers and 14 toilets available for the entire site. Waiting in line is to be expected. It's a shame for such a wonderful place.

Great campsite! Clean sanitary facilities. Friendly reception! We had a simple camper pitch, which was however large enough and nicely landscaped. The proximity to the beach is an advantage, especially since the dog beach is directly accessible.

The place itself is very large. Nice reception, a lot for children. Sanitary facilities clean and modern. Unfortunately, there are guidelines on how the caravan has to be positioned, so we had to set up the awning on sand.

Perfect place. Sanitary facilities very clean. Overall very quiet and large plots. The site is very well maintained. You are quickly at the eternally long promenade.

Spent a long weekend in a motorhome on a comfort pitch with its own shower/WC. The site, restaurant, and surroundings are perfect, especially with dogs. Don't forget your bike, as there is a good cycling infrastructure.

The location of the site is superb. It is just a few minutes' walk to a quiet, not overcrowded but still monitored beach section. However, you do have to go through a dune area, so the path is only partially suitable for wheels or strollers. Otherwise, there is a tram stop nearby, making all places in the area easily accessible without a car. The site itself is nice with great offerings for children. However, the sanitary facilities could be cleaner. Due to the construction of the buildings, we found it sometimes very cold in the shower. The shop and the snack bar on the site had a good selection. The staff at the reception could have been a bit friendlier.

Large, clean campsite. Sanitary facilities perfect. Short walk to the beach. Baguettes, rolls can be bought fresh in the morning. I recommend checking in online so you can arrive later. The site number and the map will be sent to you. The barrier opens when the car number is recognized. Good place to explore the area and Bruges, which is accessible from here by tram/train.
