I would only give 4 stars. The sanitary facilities are outdated. Bistro: the terrace is not really cozy. For 14 days, there was a defective barrier. Anyone could come and go... Security??? Otherwise, the site is well-kept and clean, and the staff is friendly.

The overall impression is very good, the old town of Eschwege is easily reachable on foot, very dog-friendly,

The booking was made over the phone and was completely straightforward. The staff at both the reception and the restaurant were very friendly. The spot by the lake, close to the city, is very nice. Unfortunately, we only had one night on the way back, but we now know the way for a longer stay.

The Premium pitch is very suitable for us because the spots are sufficiently large, we can easily stand together with friends, we are allowed to set up a fence for our dogs, and we enjoy the same amenities of the campsite as at the site itself. Additionally, the restaurant's operator has changed, which is an undeniable advantage! The site is conveniently located near the city without the noise of urban life. You can take great cycling tours in the flat terrain. And there is a dog beach! Furthermore, the sanitary facilities are clean, heated, and play soft music. For the ladies, there are separate cabins just with sinks. I think that’s fantastic! We are very happy to return!

We stayed at a premium site. You need to insert coins to get electricity, which feels very outdated; where is that still seen? Other than that, the pitch is fine, nicely located, and close to the city.

We have been to the premium pitch for the second time and enjoyed the wonderful view of the lake. The site is directly located on the hiking path around the lake and the city center is easily reachable on foot.

From our perspective, the campsite is perfectly fine, however, we assume that at full capacity, the number of sanitary facilities will not be sufficient. Furthermore, the sign for the waiting area, a white arrow on a white background, urgently needs to be renewed. As a result, we ended up stopping right before the barrier and received a reprimand directly from the lady at the reception. Unfortunately, our "Good day" was not reciprocated.
