We stayed at the Knaus Campingpark Eschwege over Easter and were very disappointed. We were confirmed by phone that the ADAC Camping Key Europe Card would be valid for our booking period, but it was not selectable online; we explained the situation in the booking field. Upon arrival, however, we had to pay about €42 extra – a valid card should be honored, this is not a voluntary service. The check-in was unfriendly, terse, and unprofessional. Suggestions for solutions from the team were ignored, and information was lacking. Several advertised services were missing: lounge, bistro, mini-shop, Fritz Berger items, and XXL game. Positive: the food truck was very friendly, the sanitary facilities were clean, and the camping spots were spacious. The place itself is good, but we are considering alternatives – we do not want to be treated this way.
