KNAUS Campingpark Eschwege

The site itself is generally okay, but there are too few sanitary buildings for the number of pitches available (there are only 2). There is only one snack truck on the site. The prices overall are completely outrageous. We booked the campsite online, where it was still possible to book a pitch with the ACSi card, as it was still within the acceptance period. However, at the end of the booking, the full amount is charged. Despite immediate phone calls and confirmed emails, we are still chasing after a refund of the excess amount paid, due to many empty promises regarding the handling of our request.

Beautiful location by the lake, perfect for hiking, very tasty restaurant, close to the city.

A very nicely situated campsite, right by the Werratalsee. Whether by bike or on foot, the city center can be reached in just a few minutes. Fresh rolls, service, and a delicious bistro are available directly on-site. We will gladly come back.

Everything was very clean. The downside was that there was nothing to buy on the site.

I come here very often and am always satisfied.

The friendliness at the reception could, in our opinion, be improved. Due to ACSI and the fact that the valid period started a day later, the lady had to make two bookings, as the system did not allow for otherwise. We could sense her annoyance, but she handled it well by choosing to do it later during quieter moments (there was quite a bit of hustle and bustle). Later, when my wife asked if the check-in would be fine, she responded rather curtly: "What would it be fine for?" We are used to a different experience when visiting Knauss campsites.

The premium motorhome pitch is excellent, with plenty of space, quiet surroundings, and a wonderful view of the Werratalsee. It would be nice to have a freshwater tap for small amounts (for boiling coffee or tea, etc.).
