Kamp Vodenca

Clean and friendly reception, good service. Space for vans under trees in the shade. Good for dogs. Wi-Fi only at the reception and quite slow, but free.

Kamp Vodenca is a simpler campsite in a group of four adjacent sites on a hill next to the Soča. It is well suited for motorhomes and caravans, unlike the others. The riverside ones are overrun by water sports enthusiasts or have extremely steep and narrow accesses. However, river access from Vodenca is only a 5-minute walk down the hill. The service area for motorhomes is not really developed yet, so you need the owner to empty the toilet into the sump pit or a long drain hose to direct the water into it. Since the sump pit is in the arrival area, it can be a bit obstructive depending on the time of day. The sanitary building is very clean, but the additional container toilets and washing facilities distributed around the site suffer from cleanliness or during peak times in the main building, there is a lack of water pressure. Wi-Fi is only available in the front entrance area. The site is spread over four levels; on the second level is where you arrive, campers are on level one or three nicely under trees but on gravel from the usual limestone. The other levels are large open spaces for tents and are mainly used by water sports enthusiasts. The owner is very friendly and usually finds a spot without a reservation before 15:00 and takes very good care of his guests.
