From dog sledding to snowshoeing, Ivalo River Camping offers a variety of nature adventures in northern Finland at any time of year. Surrounded by dense coniferous forests, Ivalo River Camping is nestled on the banks of the Ivalojoki River in Finnish Lapland. It is located approx. 4 kilometres south of Ivalo, a small town in the Inari region. The campsite is open all year round and is known for its range of unusual activities. Travellers can explore the snow-covered landscape by snowmobile, reindeer sleigh and on snowshoe hikes, for example. Afterwards, guests can warm up in the campsite's own sauna and heated whirlpool. The various aurora safaris are a highlight. These give adventure seekers a fantastic view of the colourful natural phenomenon. A restaurant serves delicious food and occasionally organises live music.

Good Campsite on the E75
The campsite is located next to a gas station and a café directly on the E75. You can also check in at the café. The area is divided into two parts. There are spots by the river on the other side of the road and spots on the side with the café and sanitation facilities. Both sides have electricity. … More

Clean and tidy
We stopped here on the way to North Cape. The reception was friendly, and you could choose your spot. For 32 euros, it's not necessarily a bargain, but the sanitary facilities were new and spacious, and showers etc. were included in the price.
