An unpleasant encounter!

Flo.
We wanted to occupy a spot at the Hydra Wave Camping yesterday. Here is a description of the events: We drove slowly onto the site. The reception was closed, the bar/restaurant (?) also seemed deserted. Apart from a few long-term campers, we couldn't see any tourist vehicles. Everything seemed bleak and lifeless. Therefore, we decided to leave the camping site, turned our vehicle around, and drove slowly out again. We parked the car on the opposite beach to plan our further travel route. Suddenly, we were verbally abused by an elderly gentleman, who claimed to be the owner of the camping site, in the worst way possible, because we had entered the property without permission. We tried to explain the situation to him. Unfortunately, this did not help, on the contrary, the good man became increasingly angry and even threatened us with a wooden stick at the end. Only by maintaining our composure were we able to prevent an escalation. So far, we have been to Greece over 70 times and have met only helpful and friendly Greeks over the many years. From that perspective, it seems the owner does not want to accept the high moral values of his country. That is his decision. In any case, we will never visit this place of shame again!

Not Worth a Trip

Sanitary facilities are okay. Also, the rest like washing area, washing room are well maintained. There is no toilet paper. Overall, a well-kept campsite. No ACSI, no ADAC discount. Price for one night €28.00. Not exactly cheap. The beach is uninviting. Otherwise, there is not much to see in this area. I would not drive out of my way to visit this campsite. Many small pitches, including shaded ones. But also space for larger units, then without shade.
