The places are natural and mostly lie under trees. The site is nicely located in the Central Massif and the area invites hiking. The maintenance and cleanliness of the sanitary buildings leaves a lot to be desired. Broken or missing flush buttons, missing handles to open the doors, and toilet paper lying around are not particularly inviting. The fairly modern furnishings appear very rundown and in need of repair. The current rating of the sanitary facilities does not match the condition of the installations.

Natural campsite, terraced layout. Beautifully embedded in nature. New and clean sanitary facilities. Rocky ground, but nice plots, at least those that are not located directly at the bottom. Unfortunately, we were only at this beautiful site for three nights. The pitches are arranged somewhat terraced, sufficiently large and level. However, the access is relatively narrow and steep, making it unsuitable for large caravans. Super friendly staff! The sanitary facilities (unisex) are apparently newly renovated and beautifully made with a lot of wood. Additionally, the site is well located for excursions to the Auvergne and nearby Clermont-Ferrand. There are good shopping opportunities in Royat, while the small shop on the campsite really only offers the bare essentials, but provides a lot of information about the area. Simple good food in the self-service restaurant, which also offers shelter for possible rainy days.
