The places are natural and mostly lie under trees. The site is nicely located in the Central Massif and the area invites hiking. The maintenance and cleanliness of the sanitary buildings leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, we were only at this beautiful site for three nights. The pitches are arranged somewhat terraced, sufficiently large and level. However, the access is relatively narrow and steep, making it unsuitable for large caravans. Super friendly staff! The sanitary facilities (unisex) are apparently newly renovated and beautifully made with a lot of wood. Additionally, the site is well located for excursions to the Auvergne and nearby Clermont-Ferrand. There are good shopping opportunities in Royat, while the small shop on the campsite really only offers the bare essentials, but provides a lot of information about the area. Simple good food in the self-service restaurant, which also offers shelter for possible rainy days.
