We traveled 900 km to find out at the reception that no dogs are allowed on the beach. We asked for alternatives, and we were told that there was no beach on the island where dogs were allowed (until the end of September), which turned out to be untrue. We searched for another campsite and found les Baleines. Nice beach where dogs are allowed. We requested to cancel the remaining 4 days, which was denied! And it added that the campsite is small, cramped, full, and noisy. Vehicles drive around the site every minute, even at night at 11 PM a motorhome checked in next to us. We took down our awning and moved. Here at the campsite les Baleines, our holiday could finally begin, completely relaxed with our dog.

Super quiet location right on the Atlantic, beach access not directly from the site, but just outside the site (5'-10'). Nice sandy beach, but only at high tide, as it is otherwise very rocky/stony. Nice pitches with trees and hedges (not all), super friendly staff. Sanitary facilities modern and clean. Well suited for excursions by bicycle on the island.

Very beautiful and quiet place almost directly on the beach. Very friendly and dedicated staff, clean and well-maintained. Most places are next to mulberry trees (very delicious). You can easily and comfortably reach almost all island towns by bicycle. Clear recommendation.

Simply a great place. I find the ADAC rating a bit strange. 2 stars make absolutely no sense to me here. We had a wonderful stay. The site is located directly by the sea and has a beach just 100 meters away. The sanitary facilities were always clean and were cleaned several times a day. Bicycles can also be rented to explore the island (11€ per day per bike). The island is truly beautiful and can be easily explored by bike. Brief info: it costs 8€ per vehicle to take the ferry to the island.

This place is great! Untamed nature and quiet. Those who want to explore the island in peace and avoid animation and pool, etc. are in the right place here. Here, you still write down the number of croissants for the next day on a list at the reception. We were glad to be here, finally out of the stress of the more northern tourist areas. But be careful: depending on the assigned spot, good maneuvering skills are required with a motorhome.
