Nothing for families without a dog.

This is definitely a campsite where dogs are welcome! People expecting a beach without dogs or without off-leash dogs will be disappointed. Here, dog owners have the say. And unfortunately, they are very rude when you point out the very nearby dog beach.

Absolutely outdated, looks shabby

The greeting was okay, but nothing more. The site has definitely seen better days. Everything is getting old. A refresh is urgently needed! There is also a lack of order and cleanliness. Everywhere you look, there are things lying around that should have been disposed of. Access roads riddled with potholes. This condition, according to other reviews, has apparently existed for several years. The sanitation facilities are old and not exactly clean. If you like to shower with lukewarm water that turns off every 3 seconds, then this is the right place for you. There are two open-air washing basins. However, only one is covered, at the other one, you are fully exposed to the weather, as the defective roof has not been replaced. Wi-Fi is offered by an external provider. Positive: For day campers, there are fresh water sources at many places. Conclusion: The price/performance ratio does not fit at this campsite! We will not be coming back.

Great Campsite Directly on the Baltic Sea

We are here for the second time, last year with a motorhome, this year with a caravan. Last year we actually had trouble finding a spot that offers all the amenities and necessities for motorhomes, such as water directly at the site, greywater disposal, etc. Everything here works completely smoothly. Since last year, a lot has been improved here, an outdoor gym, playground, etc. have been newly built. The grounds are natural but well-kept and maintained. The sanitary facilities are very clean and like new. Right at the site, there is the beach with a dog beach, sailing school, and other water sports opportunities including a boat ramp. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the local shop has items for everyday needs. From us, the campsite gets a thumbs up, we will definitely not be here for the last time.

Good for surfers.

Good: nice natural beach, beautifully located, beautiful sunsets, good fries, good rolls, modern sanitary facilities, shop available (but very expensive), well-furnished holiday homes. Bad: expensive Wi-Fi that hardly worked, playground was mostly a construction site with nothing happening, showers were partly closed, and many did not work as expected. At the large tent meadow, there was only (about 150 to 200 meters away from the tents) a toilet container for men and women together. When entering, one had to be careful not to encounter a man urinating in the urinal. It was unclear what the visitor’s tax was for. The beach was a very windy natural beach with a lot of seaweed, and of course, many areas also had rocks. This certainly did not justify a visitor’s tax. Waiting time at the reception booth was very long. A second work space with a tent next door would have been reasonable. Due to the size of the campsite, the paths were always long.

Beautiful Place Directly on the Baltic Sea

Very good8

June 2019

A very beautiful place right by the Baltic Sea. Very affordable and family-friendly. The campsite has a small playground for children with play equipment, a small football field, and as a highlight, large bouncy pillows. If you prefer simplicity without much luxury, this is the right place for you! My family and I have been coming here every year since 2009. In the summer, the site additionally offers children's activities, art exhibitions, and an annual beach party. There is a small shop on the site with everything you need for daily use. Gas bottles can be exchanged on-site at normal prices. A small restaurant with a wide range of dishes in a cozy atmosphere is also available. Water sports enthusiasts have the opportunity to take various courses at the surf school or sailing school on-site. There is a private slipway for small boats directly at the site, allowing you to launch your own fishing boats. The site is very natural and is located close to the small town of Gettorf, where you can visit various supermarkets as well as a small animal park. Eckernförde and Kiel are also quickly accessible as excursion destinations and offer tourists a wide range of leisure activities. The surrounding area along the coast can be wonderfully explored by bicycle, but it is also nice to hike along the steep coast on foot.

Beautiful location but hopelessly outdated

Unfortunately not clean at all. The campsite is used as a dog toilet. Sanitary facilities have never been cleaned. So everything is very neglected. The staff were only partially friendly. However, nice location directly by the sea.

Directly at the beach, the best campsite with a dog 🐕

Very good8

August 2018

We have been there 3 times already and were very satisfied 😃 no stress with the dog at the beach, whether large or small dogs 🐕 for us the most relaxed campsite with our Great Dane. There are poop bags everywhere for the dog. Everything needed is available. Nature, no frills, and everything was always clean for us. We will always be happy to visit this campsite again every now and then 🤗
