A delightful week at a great campsite

We have now been to this site for the third time. This time for a whole week. We found it very pleasant again. Because it was the low season, it was very quiet and we got a lovely spot. View of the lake and partially paved with patio stones. We were in immediate proximity to the very modern toilet block, which has obviously been recently renovated. It is in perfect condition and was always clean. Daily cleaning is a given. At the entrance to the campsite, there are several vending machines with food, drinks, ice cream, coffee, and sanitary items as a substitute for a supermarket. Payment can be made in cash or by card. From the campsite, we took various tours in the nearby area. Anyone who hasn't been there should visit Baden-Baden. It's worth it. We would happily come back when the opportunity arises!

We were there for three nights, and it was super nice. We had a pitch near the lake for our caravan. Where our stools were positioned, there were tiles which we liked a lot. The sanitary facilities were clean and there was a beautiful sunbathing area with trees by the lake which we thought was great. Also wonderful for swimming. The restaurant was delicious, and there was also a shop where you could get rolls in the morning. All in all, it was very nice, and we will definitely come back.

Average site in a good location

We stayed for one night in the off-season at Campingplatz Adam. The prior phone contact was very friendly. During this time, there was a free choice of spots. Upon arrival, we read that the reception is open from Monday to Friday in the mornings. There was a sheet on the door with phone numbers for help and emergencies, as well as information that one should stand to the right of the reception and register during office hours. Here, we would have wished for more information on how to pay afterward, which toilets are open, etc. Ultimately, we informed them via email. In the off-season, only one sanitary house is open (understandably!). All in all, it was clean but could have been more modern. Our current impression may be due to the season. I think in summer, the site is a very nice destination because of the lake.

Unfortunately, we are very disappointed with this campsite. Since we were only on-site for a week, the water connection was not important to us, which is why we chose a lower category of the site. We were located quite near the entrance, and unfortunately, these sites are arranged so that the long-term campers behind have to walk across our site to get out. We didn’t find that very pleasant. The ladies and gentlemen at the reception are nice and friendly as long as you have no complaints. Various long-term campers also confirmed this impression. The lake is beautiful but full of deposits, and the oxygen enrichment with the iron rod and pump (fountain) doesn’t help much. The waterslide is nice but also showing its age... the water intake is exposed in the lake, which doesn’t look great either. What bothered us the most is that every morning for two hours, the toilets and showers are closed for cleaning (7:30-9:30 am on weekdays and from 9:30 am on weekends), which is of course an absolute no-go since you then have to walk to the other side of the campsite to use the toilet. The showers near the restaurant are solar showers that cost 50 cents and, like all other sanitary facilities on the premises, are only cleaned properly once a day; after 5 pm, it’s no longer clean. The rinsing facilities on the front sites are very makeshift and overall, this side of the site appears very provisional. The supermarket is sparse and overpriced compared to others in the same region. The portions in the restaurant are large, and the quality-price ratio is right. In front of the restaurant, a loader is constantly running and filling tipping containers with bedding or livestock feed or whatever... We were dependent on the internet since I had on-call duty; the Wi-Fi is super weak and costs 12.50 euros. Conclusion: Okay for 2 days for transit, but please not more!

Will become our regular spot when we look for something in the region

We stayed overnight at the conveniently located site near the A5. Friendly and professional check-in (quiet hours from 12:30 - 14:30). The sanitary building at the eastern lakeshore (which is also used by bathers) has just been modernized, and only the toilets were available. Once completed, it will offer a very decent 3-star camping standard, similar to the other two buildings (each with the usual plastic cabin arrangements). Those who do not want to unhitch for an overnight stay can choose designated parking spaces for this purpose. For some, this was so important, even on this 37-degree day, that the lack of shade did not bother them. In the permanent camper area, there are apparently quite new parking spots for tourists directly by the lake - still with very young planting and completely without shade. We could hear the approximately 1 km distant highway (between us lies the town of Oderbruch and a forest; only very quietly and only if it is otherwise completely calm and still, and one pays attention) – this does not disturb the night’s rest. As a stopover and also as a base for exploring the region combined with a nice, classic family vacation - everything fits with the restaurant, the playground, and the bathing lake with a large slide and sunbathing lawn.
