Beautiful scenic location, unfortunately not well maintained
The location in an old forest is beautiful, basically in the middle of the fields outside the city. The overall condition of the buildings, especially the sanitary facilities, is now borderline and urgently needs renovation. The three small lakes are quite green. The outdoor dining area is also run … More

We found this a good campsite to stay for a few days.
👎 We had a spacious pitch and the sanitary building had good hot water. Pitch/Accommodation: That it was a large place. 👎 At the other campsites of the organization "Les Castels" there was also a chateau or castle around which the campsite was built. I know no better than that this organization i… More

Camping mainly for anglers and families with small children
👎 2nd experience where we could see the limits of camping: little activity for teenagers and schedules imposed by management: waking up in the morning at 10 AM by music and brush clearing machines, while at night, lights out at 11 PM, even laughing with friends is prohibited under penalty of having… More

The resort impresses guests with its open-air pool area and varied leisure programme. The Domaine Les Bois du Bardelet is particularly popular with families with young children, but single travellers and couples also enjoy their stay.
The outdoor swimming pools are the highlight of the campsite. A deep pool with an island overgrown with palm trees invites adult guests to swim, while the shallow paddling pools are ideal for babies and toddlers. There is also a long water slide, which is popular with older children. The outdoor pools are surrounded by sun loungers so that parents can relax and enjoy the sun while watching their children splash around. For the milder months in the transitional seasons, the Domaine Les Bois du Bardelet campsite offers a heated indoor pool as well as a children's pool with a slide and lots of toys.
The campsite is located in the French department of Centre in the heart of neighbouring France. It is just a few kilometres from the Loire, which is a great destination for a long walk. The nearest village, Poilly-lez-Gien, is just under 5 kilometres to the north-east and is easily accessible by car or bike. Camping Domaine Les Bois du Bardelet itself is located in a very secluded setting, so holidaymakers can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay in the countryside. On site, you can buy everyday necessities in the grocery shop or order some culinary delights in the restaurant. Thanks to the wide range of sports on offer, you will never get bored, even if you are staying for several weeks. The Domaine Les Bois du Bardelet organises pony rides for younger guests and also has a tennis court, a mini-golf course and a fitness room. Boats and bicycles can also be hired. The pitches on the campsite all have their own spacious plots. Alternatively, guests can opt for mobile homes, which are rented out on the site. These are fully equipped and impress with a cosy interior. Fast Wi-Fi is just as much a standard feature on the site as the washing machines and clean sanitary facilities. The towns of Bourges in the south and Orléans in the north-west are ideal for excursions in the surrounding area.
