Not really parceled out and yet inflexible. Nice place just not adequately drained. Even days after the rain, the clayey ground was still muddy. Unisex sanitary building with no problems with lockable cubicles. Pleasantly clean. The surroundings are great for nice walks. Staff very friendly. We would have liked to stay longer because we really enjoyed it, which unfortunately was not possible despite many empty spots. We were traveling with dogs.

We were a group of 4 days at the campsite with 9 motorhomes for a factory visit to Bürstner in Kehl and had reserved and planned well in advance. Due to bad experiences from the previous year, with a similar event, I was already worried that something might not go right! That was not the case at all!!! Everything was perfect, the coordination, reservation, orientation at the site, the friendly site attendants, and above all, SONJA! She was always friendly despite significant stress from impatient newcomers! Thank you, Sonja!!! The change of tenant last year was urgently needed, and everyone could feel the effect. A thousand thanks and we will gladly come back whenever we organize a meeting with Bürstner! Everything was very clean and well-maintained, and even in the dining area, everything worked perfectly and tasted great!

After some issues in the past, the DCC has obviously made the right decisions. No longer a tenant but DCC staff. In any case, we were warmly welcomed and guided to a nice pitch. We stayed here longer than planned. Our dog was more than welcome. Great walking opportunities just outside the site along the Rhine. The sanitary facilities are great - individual cabins with shower and usually also a sink. Daily cleaning, so everything is attractively clean. I have never seen such a well-thought-out space for toilet disposal. Conclusion: An absolutely recommendable site that offers many opportunities for interesting activities in the surroundings. The Strasbourg Cathedral and lovely city center are only 6 km away.

"Under one of the most beautiful campsites in Europe" I imagine something else!!! A simple meadow with trees. Not divided into pitches. I have come to know many nicer places. We were there for a week. There are a lot of small airplanes flying over the campsite. The shower was leaking, water sprayed in all directions. The water drained very slowly, so you stood in your own wetness. NO SEATING AVAILABLE. On Thursday, a small group of campers, about 8-10 people, arrived and immediately began to chat at a volume that the whole campsite could hear. NOTHING WAS DONE BY THE CAMPSITE OPERATOR. Then on Friday, the group set up a system and played very loud music and sang along. NOTHING WAS DONE BY THE CAMPSITE OPERATOR. This continued into the evening.

The place itself is fine. The sanitation facilities were always clean. Unfortunately, the site manager is hopelessly overwhelmed. Upon arrival, there was no greeting. A brusque "who are you and what do you want... well, what do you expect on a campsite?" The grass was mowed by the regular guests themselves. The location of the site and the surroundings were appropriate. No one is responsible for the weather, 24 hours of continuous rain... and we couldn't pay either. We will receive an invoice. I'm curious how you plan to settle the electricity bill.

Never again... The operators are totally disorganized and apparently have no experience in operating a site. We had reserved weeks in advance with our family and 2 kids, and encountered chaotic conditions on-site with extremely unfriendly comments from the operator. Electricity doesn't interest us, we should be grateful to have gotten a spot at all, etc... Spots are assigned arbitrarily without numbers, according to the operator's pointing finger. During low season, yes, maybe doable... but with a large influx it's an absolute disaster. Our camper would have completely blocked 6 other campers. We then left in frustration. With this operator, never again at this otherwise well-located site!!!

However, it almost stops with positive attributes... As described here several times, the groundskeeper nullifies all positive impressions. Let me put it this way, I come as a paying guest, have one question or another, perhaps a wish for a pitch where TV reception is possible, and all this expressed in a normal and friendly tone. As such a 'demanding camper', I should not have to hear from such a person that he can no longer hear such questions, and that he is also not responsible for such wishes... I could elaborate further, but it wouldn’t help. For this groundskeeper, it would really be better if he quit the job as soon as possible. Someone like him is definitely in the wrong industry as a service provider! I know, good staff is currently hard to find. But such people obviously forget that the current hype regarding camping may, after all, wane again, and then the businesses are certainly reliant on the remaining camping fans making a stop at their site...

We originally booked for a full week, but left two days early. The place itself is quite nice. However, the site manager there, who acts extremely pretentious, caused us to leave two days early. Our dog ran to another one once. We had just returned from a bike tour and he wasn't leashed yet. Then he came right over and threatened us in a commanding tone that we would be thrown off the site. (We were so taken aback and then left voluntarily). Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable! It could also be said in a friendly manner. But he doesn't care about that. With others (DCC members), they are then given a free pass (which we observed). He spends the whole afternoon driving around the site with his annoying small tractor, directing other motorhomes. So there's no peace at the site. But then he collects an environmental fee! He observes wherever possible and likes to lecture. Weeks before the trip, no one answers the phone. Emails are only replied to days later. The restaurant on the site is completely overpriced for ready-made schnitzels etc.! The service staff is friendly though. We definitely won't be coming back! Dog owners are unfortunately not welcome here (from the site manager).
