The love for the site is palpable, there are sports facilities right by the river and opportunities to relax comfortably, children's bicycles for free use, and clean sanitary facilities. One of the most beautiful campsites I know.

Great place for nature lovers, especially with children
We really liked the green idyll, the proximity to the Loire, the spaciousness of the site, and the view of the ruins of Artias high up on the mountain. In the off-season, you have to search a bit to find restaurants and shopping opportunities, as there is only sporadically something available on the… More

CosyCamp is an ecological campsite in the French Auvergne and comprises a 4.5-hectare, car-free park. Its location directly on the beautiful River Loire offers many opportunities for activities from swimming to canoeing - so enterprising families, those seeking relaxation, outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers are in good hands here.
The campsite is located on the River Loire in the idyllic Auvergne region in the heart of France. The charming medieval village of Chamalières-sur-Loire is just 2 kilometres away. CosyCamp offers a choice of different categories of pitches, all of which are very spacious. The nature variant is not clearly demarcated and has no electricity connection. All of the other 57 pitches are parcelled out and are either 100 square metres or even 200 square metres in size and offer a 16 ampere power connection. There is also free Wi-Fi and three well-maintained sanitary blocks. If you wish, you can unwind in the wellness area with its Roman-style indoor pool with counter-current system or relax with a massage. The special feature and meeting point at CosyCamp is the lounge, which also houses the reception, bar and restaurant in the basement. Here guests can get to know each other and find out about the campsite's offers and excursion destinations in the region. The cosy barefoot area with carpet, television and play corner is located on the upper floor. In addition, the terrace invites you to spend cosy summer evenings by the Swedish fire. There are also designated areas on the campsite where campers can make a campfire or barbecue together as a family or with other guests.
The beach on the River Loire is right in front of the campsite. Holidaymakers can also hire canoes to explore the natural surroundings. The large grounds of the CosyCamp are ideal for walks and bird watching, as well as for visiting the vegetable and aromatic garden. There is also a playground and a climbing park for children. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking or cycling tours, for which guests can borrow maps from reception. The historic village of Chamalières-sur-Loire, which dates back to the 12th century, is just 1.5 km away on foot. Around 40 minutes away by car is the medieval town of Le Puy-en-Velay, where visitors can visit the cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
