Castel Camping Le Château de Poinsouze

We stayed here from July 24th to August 7th, 2026. It is a quiet and beautiful family campsite with large pitches offering ample sun and shade. The private sanitation is thick and sufficient. The owners are very involved with their guests and are extremely kind. There’s a decent pool and slide, as well as enjoyable festive evenings with live music and excellent food. For those seeking tranquility, this is the perfect campsite, surrounded by a lovely environment as a gift.

This campsite is family run and the pride which the owners and the staff take in their facility is obvious at every turn. The camping pitch with private facilities is the best we have ever had, level, shaded and spacious. The food in the bar restaurant is exceptional for a campsite, the staff are friendly and helpful. There is nature in abundance on the site. A relaxed vibe is infectious. The nearby village of Boussac has two decent supermarkets, good restaurants and twice weekly markets Pitch/rental accommodation: Pitch was huge, private and level. The private bathroom was modern with an abundance of hot water

It would be lovely to be able to have a coffee with some bread or pastries at the bar terrace in the morning Pitch/rental accommodation: The cupboard in which the gas bottle was stored had no catch to keep the door closed, just an irritation

Superbly equipped campsite with very friendly staff, good cuisine, beautiful and quiet view of the site, and good sanitary facilities. Pitch/Rental accommodation: Great location with top-level sanitary house, kitchen, and refrigerator. Well-kept restaurant with a cozy atmosphere.

Local shop could have a larger selection. Pitch/Rental accommodation: The shop could have even more options.

We stayed as a family for three weeks at the campsite with our caravan and a private sanitary building. The little house with a table, cooking area, and refrigerator was top new. The shower, toilet, and washbasin were also new and greatly appreciated. The view of the lake and the quiet location are perfect for relaxation.
