Beautiful beach, but the site itself is only average

Upon arrival, we couldn't park as indicated in the guidelines because the campers on our right and left had set up however they wanted and were right at the 'boundaries'. That was not pleasant. Then our power outlet was ripped out, so I had to run to the reception to ask for help. It is stated that German is spoken at reception: not a chance. Eventually, the outlet (which had been ripped out) was just taped up. Information? None at all. Back to the reception I went. Their response was just to use another outlet… OK. Then it rained heavily and suddenly there was a short circuit due to the faulty outlet. A young man from the reception came and switched us around after we asked. That was very nice of him. The sanitary facilities were only moderately clean. Very outdated, with mold stains… What a shame. I do not recommend this site.

Beautiful place but too expensive

Great spots, mostly with sea views. Clean sanitary facilities and friendly staff. However, a price of nearly 100 euros per night for two people without water connection and without Wi-Fi is clearly too high.

We had to rebook because the assigned spot was right on the street. This made the spot quite expensive all of a sudden.

Rather isolated in a very beautiful scenic location
Very good8

The campsite is really beautifully laid out and well equipped. With a pool, swimming opportunities at the sea, and mini-golf. The sanitary buildings are very good, probably a bit tight in number during full occupancy. However, this was not an issue at the time of my stay. The shop is a bit small for a campsite of this category. Buns must be ordered the day before. Important to know: there are no shopping opportunities in the village! The nearest is 4 km away. The restaurant was unfortunately closed due to staff shortages (as of August 2023), but would have only been open until 5:30 PM otherwise (weekends 7:30 PM). There is also no restaurant in the village. That is to say, it is best suited for those seeking peace and for self-caterers.

Beautiful campsite, but no restaurant

Christine
The campsite is beautifully situated with a great view of the sea at sunset. The water park on the beach is the best entertainment for the kids, as well as the pool with indoor and outdoor areas. Unfortunately, the restaurant/café has been closed since April 2023, which was not communicated to us beforehand and is also not mentioned on the website. The shop is rather modest for a 5-star campsite.

More info about First Camp Bøjden Strand - Fyn
The view from First Camp Bøjden Strand - Fyn campsite sweeps endlessly across the islands of the South Fyn Sea. In addition to the direct access to the sea, the bathing area with swimming pool, water slide and water trampoline will delight you. There is also an indoor water park with pool, paddling pool, sauna and solarium.
4.5-star campsite on the Helnæs peninsula
Thanks to its special location in the bay of Helnæs on the Baltic Sea island of Funen, Fyn in Danish, the campsite is virtually surrounded by water on three sides. The site is popular with families and couples and is located on a meadow area divided by hedges with individual deciduous and pine trees. The site is slightly terraced, giving everyone an unobstructed view of the bay and the small islands off the coast. Of the 235 pitches in total, 205 are parcelled out. The shallow shore and quiet bay can also be enjoyed from the campsite's own restaurant-café. For campers, amenities such as emptying waste water tanks, cassette toilets and a gas bottle supply are available. The mini-market or Faaborg, 5 kilometres away, are ideal for shopping. For children there is a separate sanitary area, two large playgrounds with bouncy cushions, a playland for the cooler days and children's entertainment with a colourful programme. Bicycle and pram hire provide entertainment for young and old. Water sports enthusiasts and boat lovers also get their money's worth here. There is a bathing and boat jetty and a boat ramp on the 200 m long sand and pebble beach. Everyone will find a cosy corner on the quiet campsite - in the low season, guests stroll along the almost deserted beach.
Excursions and activities
The First Camp Bøjden Strand - Fyn campsite impresses with its proximity to the sea and the associated water sports opportunities such as diving, sailing, kayaking and water skiing. Families can play mini-golf or simply relax on the beautiful sunbathing lawn by the water, while the children splash around in the shallow water and have fun in the playgrounds. The little ones can let off steam in the extra playground for children aged 0-5. Excursions take you to the sights of Funen, such as the Hans Christian Andersen Museum in Odense or the medieval Egeskov moated castle in Kværndrup. The islands around South Funen are also well worth a visit. The island of Lyø with its 18th century houses is well worth a visit. Day trips to the island of Avernakø in the Danish South Sea are also offered on a historic sailing boat.
