Campingplatz Wetzlar

We had 4 very pleasant days at the site. A very nice and helpful welcome, friendly owner family. You feel truly welcomed. Top-notch sanitary facilities, a lovely kiosk, and a fantastic beach bar with delicious pizza. Great location right by the bike path with short distances to Wetzlar. We will definitely come back. Very dog-friendly.

The place is small, clean, quiet, and cozy. The staff is friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities may not be the newest, but they are very clean. You feel comfortable here.

Very nice little campsite, very dedicated operators, tidy sanitary facilities. We would gladly return. The only "drawback": the campsite is open in winter too, but the facilities are not winter-ready, meaning you have to wash outside, the water is locked and you have to get it from the washrooms. I would wish for an "in-house" solution. Otherwise 👌

We are totally thrilled with the location of the site and also the friendliness of the landlords! On my birthday, we received a Piccolo as a surprise for breakfast. We would love to come back.

The pitches are very nice, the entire site is lovingly designed. The management is very friendly. We can only recommend this site and we will gladly return.

The place is very well-kept. A great spot for a short trip to Wetzlar. It's about a 25-minute walk to the old town. On site, there is a bread roll service and a great beach bar.

We were guests at this beautiful little campsite from August 16th to August 31st, 2023, and can only highly recommend it. Previously - that is, before the new operator Patrick and his team took over the site - we had lost sight of the place due to the poor reviews. But now a real small camping paradise has really developed here. The entire site design truly deserves a full score, as does the entire team who lovingly and dedicatedly take care of everything. The little highlight is the Beach Bar, where you really get a beach feeling and are well supplied with drinks and barbecue food. Here’s a compliment to the "Grill Master" Thomas - who, as the site manager, is always fully on duty and takes care of every concern. The sanitary facilities are also completely fine - and what is most important - cleanliness is truly a top priority here. Also a shout-out to the cleaning staff, who dedicate themselves with love and passion to keeping everything clean. It is also worth mentioning that constant care is taken in a sustainable way to ensure that the site appears well-organized. Also worth mentioning are the 3 little huts - Kingfisher Nest - Duck Nest and Fox Den, as well as the Sweet Home trailers from the ’80s and retro. So lovingly and cozy furnished, it must be seen at least once. For visitors without tents - caravans - campers, just a highlight. Also, the on-site service with rolls and breakfast offerings is commendable, as well as the little shop at check-in - where you can already find quite a few things for daily needs. In any case, we enjoyed our stay so much that we have already made a booking for 2024.
