Campingplatz Werratal

A place in transition. The new owners have done a lot in just one year. Of course, not everything can be done at once, but the pitches are top-notch, the sanitary building will also be renovated, and the location is very nice. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and everything creates a family-like impression. The (albeit still old) sanitary facilities are very clean. I felt extremely comfortable here with my dog.

All in all, rather below average. The place and especially the washhouse have aged quite a bit, but it seems "well-maintained". It has been stated that the washhouse has been due for renovation for a year now (at least according to the reviews)...? The operator and staff are friendly. When it comes to the play equipment, these are rather "designed" toys of the daughter (5 years) and are communicated as such. Sufficient for a stopover, but nothing special.

Very quiet place and very friendly owners.

One must give credit to the young team that they only took over the place in January 23. Some rental accommodations (cabins) have been created, and a small catering service in the form of a kiosk with a beer garden. The sanitary facilities are kept very clean, but overall they are getting old. What is completely unacceptable: a timer on the light!! When the shower time via coin-operated machine is 15 minutes, but the light goes off after 5-8 minutes, you find yourself showering in the dark! The location in the Werratal is nice, even though there is a railway line running opposite.

We were at the campsite in April 2023. We enjoyed it very much. The operators were very friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities have seen better days but are set to be renewed. Everything was clean and tidy. There is also a lot of nature around and a beautiful area for hiking and cycling. We will come back.

Very nice owner, the site offers plenty of shade in summer due to many trees on the camper meadow. A canoe rental is offered on site - that was a nice tour. We would love to come back.

Located on the edge of the village, nice selection of restaurants. All within walking distance. Train line audible, friendly operator. The sanitary facilities have a 70s flair. The entrance is quite steep. Long trailers need to be careful not to bottom out.

Simple, but clean place, not overcrowded even in the season. Food and restaurants in the village, 1.5 km away. Located on the Werra cycling path. Quiet, street and train do not disturb.
