Immediately located at the dune to the sea. Apart from a few planes from the nearby airport, it is very quiet. There are sufficiently large parking spaces for caravans and motorhomes; even large vehicles fit perfectly. All pitches are comfort pitches, sanitation facilities are well-maintained and clean, disposal of gray water and toilets is excellently solved. Gray water disposal is available without maneuvering next to the exit, toilets can be emptied both with Sanifair and traditionally. Italian restaurant (bistro character) and roll service on site. Excellent starting point for swimming in the sea, for hiking or cycling trips in all directions of the island, right in the middle.

We were there in April... not fully booked. Great location for tours in the north and south of the island by bike, bus, or on foot. Always happy to return.

Even the greeting at the reception lets you feel that you are welcome here. Nothing of northern cold to be felt. On the contrary. A reserved spot was assigned, and we were informed about the parking regulations. Caravans should be aligned in one direction and keep a distance. Our spot had water, wastewater, and electricity available, like 90% of the sites. The large washroom had enough showers and toilets, which were always clean. The children's playground and a restaurant on-site complete the offerings. I cannot evaluate the restaurant. The roll service from 8-10 am worked perfectly. The site manager is always friendly and helpful and does everything to keep the site in good condition. The location is unique. Direct beach access via boardwalk and dune. It’s only a 15-minute walk to the village. Costs during the autumn holidays. 8 overnight stays for 2 adults, 2 children in a dog-friendly site, including electricity for 320 EUR.

We had a great, quiet holiday and almost every evening a spectacular sunset - distance from the motorhome to the beach is 6 minutes! The beach is clean and has incredibly fine sand - no shells or stones either! A great dining option right by the beach - ideal for sundowners! The staff at the campsite were friendly and helpful. We had imagined the bakery branch differently, but we didn't starve. Despite the crowded site, the sanitary facilities were always clean! They handled the Corona situation very well. We really enjoyed it and would love to come back! A word to conclude - the wind always comes from the front!

The campsite has very nice large pitches with plenty of space from the neighbors. Water, electricity, and sewage connections at each plot. Right by the dunes with a beautiful path to the beach. The site was very clean.

Let's start with the positives, the sanitary facilities were quite good. The relative proximity to the North Sea beach was certainly a highlight. However, you can tell that the staff are employees. They made me feel like a petitioning guest who was granted a stay at the campsite. The booking could not have been more cumbersome. A year in advance, I was allowed to submit a wish list for a spot. When I would receive a confirmation, they answered with "October or November/December." In January, I inquired again, and they sent me another wish list. It took several phone calls and emails to finalize the vacation. Strict midday quiet hours are enforced. In case of doubt, you might find yourself standing for a quarter of an hour before the closed gate, looking at the gatekeeper, and if you look nice, she might let someone out five minutes early. There are signs everywhere stating that you must adhere to the COVID regulations, otherwise, you would be expelled from the site. Thus, one complies with the necessary and wears a mouth-nose cover for the 3 meters to the toilet. The office worker sat behind plexiglass and did not wear one on her side, while the petitioner, or guest, of course, had to wear one. The site manager, who took care of the maintenance of the sites, was extremely nice and helpful. So, the impressions were mixed. This is Sylt, and guests are tolerated! As a proper German campsite, great importance is placed on waste separation and saving electricity. This also means that you should better take a flashlight with you. After darkness falls, the site becomes dark. Uneven stones and edges on the path almost caused me to trip. So take a flashlight!

Wenningstedt is particularly suitable for families with children, couples and tent campers. Of course, beach lovers in particular get their money's worth here by the North Sea. Four-legged friends are not forgotten either, as four-legged friends are also welcome at the Wenningstedt campsite!
Guests at Camping Wenningstedt particularly admire the location on the edge of the dune landscape and the cleanliness of the site. The island offers its visitors numerous leisure activities. Hikers can go on tours along the endless North Sea beaches, for example on an exciting mudflat hike. The wide, 5,000 square metre sandy beach is also ideal for relaxing and swimming. Here the children can build sandcastles or romp in the waves with the dog, who can then be showered off in the outdoor dog washing parlour. The campsite is surrounded by tall bushes and there is easy access to the sea via a wooden bridge that leads through the dunes.
Children's entertainment and a playground provide variety and the opportunity to make friends. There are a total of 276 pitches on a total area of 3 hectares. Campers can enjoy inexpensive and extensive refreshments in the restaurant or snack bar on site. Sylt's beauty can be explored at leisure by bike along the coast and through the heathland. Holidaymakers can enjoy the peace and quiet on the island and listen to the sound of the waves and the calls of the seagulls while relaxing on the beach - Wenningstedt campsite offers the perfect setting for a relaxing stay with the whole family!
