Campingplatz Schuttern

A really beautiful little campsite for the weekend. We only have an hour from home to get there and we really enjoyed the long weekend there. It almost felt like a vacation. Despite the many permanent campers, the site has the right flair. Even the reception was very warm, and we felt welcomed and really comfortable. The highway next door didn’t bother us at all; if you want to hear it, you can. The sanitary facilities are very clean and are always maintained, as is the entire site. Even on Sundays, community workers were on site to empty trash cans, etc. The two lakes are, of course, the highlight. The water is great, and there is always enough space at the edge. The restaurant is affordable, and the food is good. The roll service works excellently. We will surely stop by a few more times over the weekend this year and in the coming years as well.

A clean campsite run through the city. The size of the plots is okay for normally sized caravans or motorhomes. The three sanitation facilities (2 newer and one slightly older) are cleaned several times a day. Showering is only possible with the park card so that no day guests can dirty the campsite showers. The staff of the campsite is very helpful and friendly. The nearby highway is not particularly disturbing, but you can hear it, depending on the direction of the wind! Unfortunately, some guests do not always adhere to the rules and think they are alone on the campsite, but in case of gross violations, they will also be asked to leave immediately! I am looking forward to being back on site in 2022!

The location is great, right by the lake! The sanitary facilities are clean. Child and pet friendly. There is a restaurant that offers good and affordable food.

Actually a nice campsite! But the short-term sites give a somewhat neglected impression. The sanitary building South (located at the tourist site B) only has 5 toilets for a site capacity of over 600 campers! Very poor ventilation. Toilets and showers, however, are clean. The common room is old-fashioned and worn, the toilets next to it are extremely cramped. Mr. Wagner from the billing office in Friesenheim indicates in a response letter dated 11.09.2015 that a review of the need for renovation is in prospect.
