Those seeking tranquility, nature, and idyll are in the right place here. The lake is accessible through a small underpass. At the lake itself, there are many small bays and a beautiful path. We particularly liked that cycling is prohibited on the path, making the walk relaxed. The pitches are large and some have views of the lake. The sanitary house is quite new, clean, and well arranged. At the edge of the site, there is a nice large playground. The train that passes by the campsite is absolutely not disturbing; it is quiet and barely heard. We really enjoyed our stay. However, those looking for an animation program and a lively atmosphere are out of place here.

Very nicely located quiet spot. Great for relaxing. Only separated from the lake by a train line (doesn't run at night). Direct hiking and cycling paths lead from the spot. Kiosk and restaurant are not open, but there is a fridge with soft drinks, grill meat/sausages, milk, etc. outside the reception. Wine can be obtained at the reception. Staff is super nice and helpful! Sanitary area is tip-top clean, as are the dishwashing and cooking areas. To use a 2-plate stove, tokens can be obtained at the reception for €2 per 15 minutes. Overall highly recommended, also for dog owners.

The campsite is large and laid out in terraces. There are different categories; however, the ground is partly asphalt and partly hard gravel. Tent pegs hardly stand a chance, as you need harder equipment. The reception staff are very friendly and the booking process is uncomplicated. The sanitary facilities are divided into two areas, upper and lower floors, and were always very clean. There are 4 toilets and sinks on each floor, and showers are also available. There is a washing area outside and inside, as well as 2 family bathrooms on each floor. However, what was disappointing for us was that the Seestüble restaurant is closed, and there is no notice about it. This was very disappointing for us as we were looking forward to the nice terrace. It should also be mentioned that the kiosk is closed on Monday and Tuesday. Normally, you can get fresh rolls here between 8 and 10 am. The campsite itself is okay, the location to the Schluchsee is great. The site is also nice for families with children, as there is plenty of space for kids to romp around; a small playground and a beach volleyball court are also available. Depending on which site you book, the ascent or descent from the entrance can be very steep. People with physical disabilities should pay attention to this when booking! Unfortunately, I cannot give more stars here as the site is very expensive, there are much too few toilets for my taste, and the closed Seestüble restaurant was also very disappointing. The fact that the kiosk was also closed due to illness adds to that. Okay, the price is clearly visible when booking, and everyone has to decide for themselves whether it is worth it. However, I would find it fair if the Schluchsee municipality would mention on their homepage that the kiosk and restaurant are closed, and that despite the high season only one floor of the sanitary building is open, which means 4 toilets for men. I cannot assess the ladies' toilets! That is far too little. It is about 1.7 km to the train station or to Schluchsee, and without bicycles, you're pretty much stuck unless you come by car. We searched in vain for a bus stop nearby. The Konus card (free bus and train) and the Hochschwarzwald card with many discounts you receive when checking in are great.

I have been coming back to this campsite since my childhood. A place for big, small, and furry campers. The pitches are nicely spacious and covered with gravel, which we as campers prefer. If one does not insist that every pitch must have a water or sewage connection, then one can manage well with the sufficiently available water access points in each row. For us, it is important that we can start hiking from the campsite without being reliant on the car. The site has a small shop, but there is a well-stocked supermarket nearby that is easily reachable on foot or by bike. The location by the lake is a dream and wonderful for swimming, boating, or fishing. And the best part, dogs are not banned from the beach, which is becoming increasingly rare. The staff is very friendly, the sanitary facilities are clean. And washing dishes with a view of the lake is much easier.

This campsite is in a good location right by the lake. From there, you can watch spectacular sunsets. The restaurant right by the lake is well-suited for this. The need for coins for the showers is somewhat outdated, and the sanitary facilities could be a bit cleaner. The pitches are somewhat cramped. Overall, however, the staff is nice and the location is great. Also very suitable for families - overall recommendable!

The campsite is an average place for me but has modern and clean sanitary facilities. It stands out due to its great location right by the lake. There is a railway line in front of the campsite (however, we didn’t hear anything from it). The plots are separated by lines on the ground. You are quite close together and it looks a bit like a better parking lot with a super view. Overall, the campsite is a great starting point for activities and hikes in the area. The staff was very friendly, but the check-in was a bit sluggish. We were there in the off-season and the kiosk had hardly any rolls left by 8 AM. Positive: Great location by the lake, modern and clean sanitary facilities, excellent starting point for hikes. Negative: Most plots are slanted, only gravel, reservations for short weekends available only at an extra charge (8 euros per additional night).

Gastronomic offers
For an unforgettable camping holiday with the whole family, the comfortable Schluchsee campsite offers an extremely quiet and natural location directly on a bathing lake, a child-friendly atmosphere and a wide range of leisure activities.
The campsite, which is open all year round, is around 4 hectares in size and also welcomes dogs. The 240 mostly parcelled-out pitches for holidaymakers have an area of between 75 and 90 m² and offer a high level of comfort with well-maintained sanitary facilities, electricity connections, water access and Wi-Fi throughout the site. In addition to the children's playground and a volleyball court, the pebble beach with sunbathing lawn directly on the lake, which is accessible via a short footpath, provides leisure fun for young and old alike. The Schluchsee, which is considered the largest lake in the Black Forest, is suitable for swimming, boating and fishing. Delicious refreshments and snacks are available at the adjacent kiosk. Hot meals are also served in the restaurant. Alternatively, you can cook for yourself in the evening in the communal kitchen or the cosy barbecue area. There are also a variety of cultural and natural leisure options outside the campsite. The famous 3-lake railway runs several times a day between Seebrugg and Titisee from Schluchsee railway station, just 2 km away. The ride on the historic steam train, past the picturesque nature of the Black Forest, is one of the most popular excursions in the region for both nature and history lovers. A detour to the Hochschwarzwald fun park, approx. 2 kilometres away, is also a popular day trip, especially for families.
