Good Campsite

The campsite is not exactly cheap, considering that unfortunately there is no dining option available. But aside from that, everything is great. Especially the new modern sanitary facilities are very nice and clean. The reception staff are very friendly. The complete enclosure greatly contributes to a sense of security. Wi-Fi is top-notch, and the bread roll service is also excellent, everything is very straightforward 👍🏻. Contrary to fears, it was not particularly loud at night from the nearby main road. All in all, a good spot for a stopover or a city trip to Frankfurt.

Nice campsite right on the banks of the Main

Very nice, small campsite. Very clean (toilets, shower). Premium pitch with a view of the Main. The street and train noise is bearable. I was annoyed by the electricity flat fee of 4.5 €/ 6 kwh, which means 0.75 €/kwh, and only if I use the full 6 kwh. If I use less, I pay correspondingly more, and that is too expensive. It should be charged per kwh, and that's it. The electricity flat fee penalizes those who save electricity.

Electricity Scam

Clean campsite by the Main, fenced all around with gates gives you a bit of the feeling of a kennel, sanitary facilities clean but 4 toilets for women too few. Campsites well maintained, however wedges are still needed for leveling. Access to the campsite through the construction site is a disaster, but even without the construction site it is very narrow, where in case of oncoming traffic nothing more can pass. The biggest annoyance: booked with electricity included, which means 6 kWh per night, for 4.50 euros. The fridge seems to have already devoured that. There was a notice that possibly a surcharge would be required, today we are now receiving the email for 16.49 euros electricity surcharge. Since neither a starting meter nor a final meter reading could be taken when we left, this creates a tilt on the entire already not favorable pricing, reaching the feeling of being scammed, especially at 0.85.

A beautiful small campsite located right by the Main. The spots are nice and large, and the washrooms are newly renovated and very clean. We stayed here for 3 days and really enjoyed our time. We lacked nothing. We would gladly come back.

Cozy, clean campsite with large plots, great family-run business, located 10 km from Frankfurt city center, easily accessible by bike via a bike path along the Main (both sides of the Rhine are navigable), one small downside - street noise is audible.

Great location right by the Main. Frankfurt is also easily reachable by bike. Roll delivery service. Clean sanitary facilities. Unfortunately, you can hear the street quite clearly.

More info about Campingplatz Mainkur
The Mainkur campsite is located directly on the River Main, just 9 km from the centre of Frankfurt. Its proximity to both nature and the city and the campsite's comfortable facilities make for a varied active and relaxing holiday.
4-star campsite located directly on the Main
On the idyllic meadow site with an area of approx. 1.7 hectares, there are 40 parcelled out pitches of between 80 m² and 120 m² available for holidaymakers. The old trees on the site provide a natural experience and pleasant shade. The pitches have electricity and water connections as standard. Cooking facilities, sanitary facilities and a recreation room provide additional comfort. There is a large playground and table tennis tables for younger guests. When the weather is fine, the picturesque banks of the River Main are of course an inviting place to linger. Popular activities here include waterskiing, fishing and, thanks to the ever-improving water quality, swimming. Delicious ice creams and other refreshments are available in the adjacent kiosk. The campsite is dog-friendly and particularly easy to reach due to its proximity to the motorway. At the same time, it is in a quiet location, so the atmosphere on the site is generally relaxed. The area surrounding the campsite offers many natural and cultural excursions. In particular, a trip to the nearby centre of Frankfurt with its impressive skyline, zoo, historical museum and many other sights offers something for every taste and every weather condition. Frankfurt's green belt, a continuous wooded area that surrounds the entire Main metropolis, invites you to take a leisurely nature walk past meadows, fields and orchards.
