The location is really fantastic! Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are dated, although relatively well-maintained. Operators and staff are very friendly. The kiosk is okay but looks a bit shabby from outside. Because of the frying, it smells extremely strong inside. Rolls are unfortunately much too expensive, as are the available restaurants by the lake. For 4 people, it’s just way too expensive. Wi-Fi is available but also not really, or it’s very, very bad! The bike connections are really great and the pitches are excellent and beautiful.

Very nice campsite with pitches by the lake and canal pitches. Unfortunately not suitable for people who have problems with dogs, as the dogs are allowed to roam freely. The canal path is degraded to a dog toilet. The restaurant is very nice and the food was good too, except for the Kaiserschmarren from the package. Ariane and Markus.

We had a very nice large pitch on the peninsula with our own lakeside terrace. Of the 4 women’s toilets, only 2 were usable; in one, the door wouldn’t close, while in the other, the toilet seat was just resting on top. Unfortunately, my ADAC Campcard was not accepted, even though we were there in the off-season.

Great communication in advance - extremely nice welcome - gladly reserve the restaurant, because the food is the best. The amazing thing: There's a knock on the door and there is a surprise for the wedding anniversary. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

Favorite spot since we became campers... This was the first site we visited as new campers. Since then, we have been there at least once every year. Meanwhile, we have also "infected" friends or family members with camping ;-) It is an idyllic little patch of earth, without much frills - in a positive sense. The sanitary facilities are always clean, although they are getting old, and the staff is invariably friendly. I don't need a site with luxury and entertainment around the clock. At this site, you can wonderfully escape the stress of everyday life and unwind. There is a children's playground and a small bathing area, a restaurant, snack bar, small kiosk. More shopping options are available, for example, in Lauenburg. Those who want to switch off are in the right place, and if someone needs some variety, they can go hiking, hop on a bike, or get in the car...

The campsite has a unique location between Lake Lanzer and the Elbe-Lübeck Canal, offering pure nature. The so-called comfort pitches are not automatically comfort pitches just because they are called that. Our pitch was indeed spacious and had connections for electricity, fish water, waste water, and a satellite connection, along with a beautiful view of the canal. The ground was similar to a horse pasture, more earth than grass. No tokens or coins are needed for showering and washing. That's a real plus. This is not available at many campsites. The restaurant "Lanzer See" is located close to the campsite but appears to be independent. You can eat there (though not particularly cheaply), but the food is very good. Because we had issues with our satellite cable, we were able to borrow a cable for free from the operator. Additionally, the operator was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, he was also ignorant when I pointed out to him that in one men's toilet the toilet seat was completely crusted with urine scale and that the one in the second cabin was mounted crookedly. According to him, the operator wanted to pass this on to his staff. However, nothing happened in that regard. Overall, the sanitary facilities on pitch 1 (between the lake and the canal) are outdated and no longer up to date. The gap is located between the ladies' toilet and the ladies' showers. Therefore, women have to always go through the gap from the toilets to the showers. And in the men's toilet, the two urinals are located directly at the entrance, so one has to push around the urinators to enter or leave the sanitary building. There are only two toilet cabins for men. Cleaning is done only once a day. Way too little, as it turned out. Additionally, toilet paper was constantly missing. Why the cassette toilet emptying has to be so full of dust and spider webs and otherwise look disgusting is known only to the operator. Unfortunately, you are allowed to use brought-in fire bowls at this campsite, even though the pitches are far too close together for this, resulting in smoke nuisance. Unfortunately, our neighbor was completely inconsiderate in this regard. Free according to the motto: If I think of myself, then everyone is thought of. Good advice did not bear fruit. Instead, there was the mindless justification that the campground operator had allowed it. A complaint to the campground operator the following day resulted in him merely commenting that it is difficult to retrospectively judge whether the smoke development was as bad as stated and that everyone needed to agree among themselves. Such an ignorant attitude nowadays does not fit the picture that the campground operator presents as being environmentally friendly, yet wood can be burned here, and it seems that he does not care whether other guests are disturbed or not. I, for one, find it little uplifting that I have to seal my caravan and the awning to prevent it from smelling like smoke while the neighbor enjoys his pyromania. If you book a pitch here for a certain amount of time, you must prepare to not receive a refund if you want or need to leave early. At the kiosk in the campsite, you can buy snacks and consume them in a rather filthy and neglected seating area. The kiosk also offers drinks, newspapers, magazines, snacks, and sweets. I would not call it a "cult kiosk," as another reviewer did. I find nothing cult-like about it. You can pre-order rolls for the next day. We found the doughy rolls overpriced, especially the "crispy roll," which looked like a supermarket frozen roll and was equally doughy and tasteless. Ironically, the kiosk is closed at noon. So having lunch is already not possible.

We stayed with our caravan directly by the lake on the peninsula, and on the opposite side runs the Elbe-Lübeck Canal. A great atmosphere. Everyone here is very friendly. The showers are very clean and the water is nice and warm. You can go cycling or hiking in the area.

Surrounded by lush greenery, Camping Lanzer See is ideal for a camping holiday with the family, as a couple or with up to two dogs thanks to its idyllic location directly on the lake and the generous space available.
There are 60 pitches for holidaymakers on the approximately 6-hectare campsite. Measuring between 80-120 m², they offer plenty of space and a high degree of privacy thanks to the hedges. The beautifully situated site is just 53 km from the centre of Hamburg, surrounded by woods with direct access to the Elbe-Lübeck Canal and Lake Lanzer See. Power supply, waste disposal stations, gas bottle exchange, well-maintained sanitary facilities and a washroom ensure a comfortable stay. Visitors can also make use of the WLAN connection available in the reception area. After an excursion, you can enjoy refreshments in the adjacent Lanzer See restaurant. The kiosk also offers snacks and drinks. The private bathing area by the lake has a sunbathing lawn and a slide for younger guests. There is also a football pitch and table tennis tables for sport and fun. Lake Lanzer See is also an insider tip among anglers. The campsite also hires out canoes on request. The generally flat terrain around the campsite, the Alte Salzstraße long-distance cycle path that runs right past and the Elbe cycle path, which is only around 6 kilometres away, make the region an excellent place to explore by bike. If the weather is bad, it is also worth visiting Hamburg's countless museums, such as the Maritime Museum or the Spice Museum.
