Campingplatz Heide-Camp

Sanitary facilities old and not very well maintained or clean. A working power connection had to be searched for, antenna connection also had no function. Apparently, many repairmen from various nations overnight here. We were alone in the section. The whole campsite seemed hardly occupied. For an overnight stay while passing through, just barely tolerable; the local establishment was also closed.

Beautiful clean campsite in the greenery, with large well-maintained pitches. Some plots and paths are equipped with night lighting, which makes walking the dog much more enjoyable at a later hour. The sanitary facilities are well-kept and have a rustic charm. Unfortunately, some permanent pitches in the rear area of the campsite are deserted and overgrown with tall grass, which is likely due to the very few activity options for children (apart from the playground) near the site. (The forest swimming pool in the immediate vicinity is unfortunately closed and in decline, which is really a shame as one can still sense the glory of the old days...) All in all, however, still a nice place to enjoy the peace and relax...

I have known the place since 1996 when you still had to be lucky to get one of the permanent pitches. My father was a permanent camper there until 2013, and afterwards visited friends and acquaintances there more often. I have experienced the highs and lows since around 2012, unfortunately the place went downhill. Now, since 2019, we are permanent campers ourselves and I must say it has improved a lot again. The sanitary facilities are clean and okay but have aged and need modernization. The grounds are regularly maintained. The reception is regularly open, and there is always someone reachable via the phone number posted. The restaurant operator is back as well. There are no more barrier times, which is good for working people like me since I come and go at different times. The site offers a lot of peace, which the nearby A14 will not change as the forest absorbs a lot. The only thing that is unfortunately missing today is the forest bath. My family and I can recommend it with a clear conscience for both permanent and short-term campers.

Essentially, you should get money back when you stay here. The reception is closed after 5:00 PM, and all complaints fall on deaf ears. Never again!

70% of the washing houses are defective. They have not been cleaned. Piles of garbage by the containers. Five years ago, the rating was very good. Today, it has deteriorated.
