Campingplatz Fischbach

It's a very nice little spot. Beautiful large trees that provide shade. Great sandy beach with a lawn area. Very quiet since no nervous four-legged friends are allowed. No reservations possible, very good, so during the holiday season there can still be a spot available since not everything was reserved months in advance.

The place is well maintained, very clean. The pitches are large enough. Unfortunately, you cannot book online in advance. The sanitary facilities are modern and clean.

We drove by spontaneously and got two spots to choose from. For larger motorhomes (about 8m), there are spots by the federal road, but the noise level is manageable. Spots in category B are closer to the lake, but only available with a minimum stay of one week. The sanitary house is clean. You pay for showers by the minute. The restaurant on-site offers simple home cooking. A few dishes, but completely fine. However, a major downside is the staff. Even during check-in, there was a lack of a friendly greeting or explanation about the spot. This does not make you feel particularly welcome. There is a lack of passion behind the work.

Great Place

The site has a boat slip! Therefore, a stay on and by the water of Lake Constance is a true delight. The management of the site is friendly and competent. I even found a spot during the high season and spent three wonderful vacation weeks here. Would love to come back!

I particularly liked the beautiful beach, the campsite was also awesome and very well-maintained. The sanitary facilities were neat and always clean!

At first glance, the campsite is really beautiful. Although it is right by the road, at least there are earplugs available at night. The sandy beach is truly great. However, upon closer inspection, one can see how unappealing it actually is. Starting with the check-in staff (of whom we later learned that it is the owner), who snaps at you and knows no manners like "please" and "thank you." The sanitary facilities are unacceptable. Dirty, not fully functional, and simply disgusting. There are exactly 6 sinks per washing area (of which 2 are in individual cabins) for the entire campsite, and at least 1 does not work - definitely far too few. Furthermore, the drainage area sinks are leaking. At the front by the water, there is a large meadow that is designated as a lounging area. In the evenings, when there is no one lying there anymore, it would be suitable as a playground, but the campsite owner immediately chases away all the children when they start playing there. "We don't want the children playing" was given as the reason upon inquiry. Last but not least, the campsite's own "restaurant." In the morning, one can, with a bit of luck, buy completely overpriced rolls there (8 rolls for 6 euros, are you kidding?), and in the evening, there is the typical food one expects from such a restaurant. Unfortunately, it is not particularly tasty and the portions are not enough for an adult to fill up. When inquiring if one could have a little more, one is snapped at unfriendly (also by the campsite owner, as we found out upon inquiry). We did not eat there anymore. (Roll tip: about 100 meters further there is a baker who offers very delicious rolls at a reasonable price). The only plus point: The campers there are very helpful and friendly. We had trouble setting up our tent and immediately received help when we asked. Unfortunately, this is not enough to convince us to come back. This campsite could be so great, but it fails due to the outrageous operators, who seem disinterested and annoyed with their business. What a shame.
