June 2025
We were here in June 2025. Discovered it by chance in winter and reserved right away (necessary). What a wonderful place with friendly staff. We particularly liked the concept. Here, all surplus is used for children’s aid. Café Lukas offers some nice dishes, and you can also have breakfast there. The sanitary facilities were cleaned almost continuously. If you have nice weather like us, this sand spot makes you forget any beach in Spain. It extends along the bank of the Elbe (50 m) and is not cluttered with sunbeds and crowds. The proximity to the city center allows for pleasant excursions by bike along the Elbe, to the stair district, etc. We certainly were not here for the last time.

The pitches for caravans and motorhomes are mostly "a bit further back". The tents are scattered in small "bays" formed by bushes and small trees in a sea of sand. The Elbe beach is just a few meters away, accessible directly from the site. Ideal for watching "big pots" from nearby. The restaurant/snack bar offers not only lunch and evening dishes but also bun service (order the day before) and breakfast supplies (eggs, jams, etc.). The sanitary facilities are cleaned regularly but have seen better days. Even the best cleaning power will reach their limits in muddy weather. All staff that I met in two days were very friendly and never unfriendly, even in stressful situations. It is a place to relax and leave the stress behind.

Beautiful, spacious and quiet place. Sanitary facilities are okay, cramped & somewhat dated. At this price, they could be renewed. Staff seemed a bit bored, we didn't feel very welcome. Those who love sand everywhere will love the place. Parking spaces are nicely distributed across the area.

We live in Hamburg and still like to be in this place. It feels like a vacation at home. The beach is great. The container ships are close enough to touch. And at Easter, with the Easter fire, it becomes something really special. You can quickly get to the city and there are great paths for cycling or jogging. The playground also offers little guests plenty of variety. At night, it is very quiet because there is no through traffic. Reservation is mandatory. Everything is priced a little higher, but it is worth it. Everything is clean and the people are 'Hanoverian nice'. Unfortunately, there is no gray water disposal. We then traveled to Wedel.

A great place on the Elbe riverbank between Blankenese and Wedel! Right at the Elbe beach with a lot of ship watching! Clean restrooms and very nice staff! A stay is worth it!

Sandy beaches and views of the Elbe, watching ships, sitting by the fire, enjoying good food from Café Lüks. Here you can truly unwind. The staff is attentive and makes it easy to relax. The sanitary facilities are well-maintained, respect to the cleaning team who manage the sand masses. A large playground for the little ones, who can immediately embark on an adventure. The Elbe Camp is highly recommended, book in time.

The campsite is located directly on the Elbe and is connected to Hamburg city center by public transport. The tent sites are on sand, which is especially disadvantageous in bad weather. The snack bar offers good food, including vegan options. There is a foot and bike path running right next to the campsite, making it easy to reach Blankenese among other places. Overall a well-maintained site, but due to the sand, the washroom is somewhat dirty.
