A beautiful small campsite near Friedrichshafen
Very good8
Dieter
The campsite is located in the east of Friedrichshafen, just a few minutes on foot from the lakeshore promenade. It has only about 30-40 pitches, the quietest ones are near the lake. Those closer to Lindauer Straße may experience some traffic noise. The sanitary facilities are adequate and are regularly cleaned. There is also a bread roll service and a restaurant. From here, one can explore the eastern part of Lake Constance very well; the Lake Constance cycling path runs right past the campsite.

We were at the campsite

This campsite was already our last hope, a phone call made us optimistic, and we drove from Lindau to Friedrichshafen. The friendly lady at the reception did not disappoint us. We got a nice spot on the green meadow. Initially, we booked for 2 nights, which was easily extended by 2 more. The location is wonderful; the town with the harbor and plenty of shopping and dining options is reachable on foot in 10 minutes. Bathing opportunities in Lake Constance can be found in the nearby park. The bread roll service and the clean sanitary facilities complete the camping spot. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. And since many value having access to Wi-Fi while on vacation, it is included in the price ;-). Additionally, you get the feeling of doing something good for our fellow citizens with physical and mental disabilities. We were even able to observe some of them at work on the campsite. You could see the joy they had while working. And always remember, motorhome drivers greet each other.

Clean and cramped in every respect

Cumbersome check-in. Wristbands, public transport ticket, shower tokens. And in the end, you find yourself in front of a closed barrier when you want to leave, despite prepayment, which is significant. Compared to France, it's almost twice as expensive for much less space. Well, at eight, the barrier finally opens... so never again.

The worst campsite in Europe

Heiko
We arrived, all very friendly, we also had to indicate at the reception how big our trailer is. Once there, we received our spot. 111. No markings of where each spot begins or ends. We parked the caravan sideways to the road at the back, like the neighbor. Suddenly a car with the ES license plate drove slowly past us. The driver watched us from his parking spot until we had set up. Then he was there! He got upset because the back of the caravan was on his spot. He wouldn’t listen to reason, even though we had asked at reception how it worked with the boundary, nothing marked, no markings whatsoever. The person would not be persuaded, also because the caravan that supposedly belonged to him was empty. We were told to take everything down again. The guy went to reception and came back with two people. We were actually told to move. This person is a permanent camper, he pays about €300 a year for the spots. What we would have paid in 5 days. He must have some say, after all, we were removed from the spot. They have no clear boundaries and no plan on how everyone should set up. Even the police that the staff called said that the site was too small for us. So absolutely not recommended. The staff's interactions with each other are also not exactly harmonious.

Beautiful place right by the lake

Nice, small, quiet place. The amenities are clean and in top shape, and in the morning there are fresh rolls. The lake is just a stone's throw away and it's no more than a 20-minute walk to the promenade in Friedrichshafen. If there is one point of criticism, it is the size of the plots. They are large enough, but a little more space would be nice.

Pure relaxation
Superb10
Markus
It was the first time but certainly not the last time at the site. It is simple but clean and the location is genius. Those traveling with a dog are exactly right here, beautiful paths for walking and always a patch of grass in front of the camper. The staff as well as the family Fricker in charge are very helpful and friendly, highly recommended.

A very clean campsite. The sanitary facilities are also very clean!!! However, natural beach, poorly suited for swimming. Washing machine, bread roll service, restaurant, everything is available.
