This camping closes from 1 to 3 o’clock. At the reception it is written that no cars can come in between these hours, but they state nothing about not being able to go out. So we stand in front of the barrier, nobody opens it and my husband calls the internet number to ask. It rings and interrupts. My husband believes his phone connection is bad, so I call from my phone. I just manage to present myself, "Hello, Mrs. X here" and I get the following reply, in a telling tone "Camping Bruderhofer! Do not call here again". I remained bluffed. Her answer was not a reply to a cheeky client, as I haven’t even had the chance to ask my question. This was just how they handle clients. I still find it unbelievable! Plus, the camping sites offer really 0 privacy, no bushes, no nothing in between and you literally almost hold your neighbor in your arms. I do not recommend this camping. On how they treat their clients, they do not deserve any of them!

We were at the Bruderhofer campsite in August 22 during the first season of the new operator and again this year in April/May 23. The operator had to take over a lot initially, which he is continuously renovating and improving. The shower houses have been refurbished, the cleaning team has been replaced, and the parcels have been enlarged. New bushes and trees were just planted between them when we were there in April. The catering area has been remodeled, and a new catering place, Seesam, has been opened. A rooftop terrace with a view of the lake is supposed to be finished there in June. Unfortunately, only after we left 😩... In the first year, we were there with a student group, and everything went smoothly; even the setup of the tents was assisted. During both stays, the ladies at the reception and the operator were really nice and relaxed. We felt very well cared for there, even with the students. Compared to other sites, it simply seems more idyllic there, the team is very friendly and welcoming, that's our impression. Once it was louder at night, but when we checked, the operator was already there and diplomatically ensured peace. So we enjoyed our stays there and would gladly return. The Airstreams are eye-catching, really original from the 50s and newly restored. In Konstanz, there is also a beautiful, small town, the old town is still from the Middle Ages, we were there several times. The site was slightly sloped, but is now partially terraced. The only downside was that the weather at the beginning of May was not so great, but there was a really cool little season opening party in the new bar area. With the team and the operator to get to know each other. We think they are on a good path, despite a lot of rain we really liked it. And our dog did too. Despite the leash requirement, he was very relaxed and even went splashing around. Advantage: it goes very shallow into the lake. Walking the dog there is a dream, the staff is really nice to animals, that's our impression. It's a shame that the little convenience store is not open yet. There are supermarkets nearby, but the little store would have been a nostalgic treat. The outer facade was already visible. Super nice site ☀️☀️☀️☀️

The site apparently has new management. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A restroom has been renovated. However, there is only warm water in the shower. At the sinks, there is only cold water! The restroom is also not heated. The sinks are huge and very deep. Back pain is preprogrammed. The restaurant only offered pizza. The parking spaces are quite small and partially difficult to access. The waterfront spots do have grass, but after rain they become totally soaked and muddy. Almost everyone had to be pulled out with a tractor. Unfortunately, there are hardly any hedges. You stand shoulder to shoulder like in a camper parking lot. It's a shame because the location is perfect. There's really potential to turn the site into something special.

We stayed 3 nights at the campsite. The sites are cramped, and when you step out of the motorhome, you land in the dirt. Of course, you could lay out a carpet, but we didn't want to do that for just three nights. Moreover, all the dirt would stick to the carpet. Even just wood chips would be better. Also, these are not proper plots. If you have a spot by the lake, where there is no lake view, there is another motorhome or caravan behind it. How do you get away from the lakeside spot without having to clear the front site? It doesn’t work!! The showers leave much to be desired, only with a shower curtain and outside a hook, no shelf. Night quiet is not always maintained, but this is due to the people who are vacationing here. Character is just a matter of luck!! Now for something positive: The lady at the reception was very friendly. Actually, the location of the site is good: close to the ferry to Meersburg and a bus stop. Only about 4km to Constance. We hope for the owner that he takes the negative feedback seriously and makes some changes.

As pets stay at the Bruderhofer campsite free of charge, the site is very popular with dog owners. Families with children appreciate the location directly on Lake Constance close to the centre of Constance, as do those seeking peace and quiet, active people and couples.
The Bruderhofer campsite is just 4 km from the old town of Constance, which is well worth a visit, with its Roman fort from late antiquity and the famous statue of Imperia at the harbour entrance. A well-maintained gravel path leads from the 100 or so pitches directly to the shores of Lake Constance. Bathing fun is also guaranteed at the Horn outdoor pool, just a ten-minute walk away, where there is also a great playground for children. The boat landing stage with regular connections to Meersburg with its impressive castle complex is also just a ten-minute walk away. A well-developed network of cycle paths awaits active holidaymakers on Lake Constance. The tours take you across the Swiss border, for example, to the island of Reichenau, which is well worth a visit, or to the Wollmatinger Ried nature reserve, home to around 250 different bird species.
Thanks to the convenient bread roll service at the Bruderhofer campsite, a delicious breakfast is quickly provided in the morning. Guests also love the free choice of pitches and the location right on the shores of Lake Constance. The Bruderhofer campsite is quiet and informal, making it the perfect choice for campers seeking relaxation. New friendships are easily made here in a relaxed atmosphere. Once a week, a mobile shopkeeper visits the site with a wide range of goods. The ice-cream man also visits regularly.
