Camping Edersee Paradies

!!! Unfortunately, the water level of Edern Lake is currently so low that a bathing holiday is unfeasible. This is not warned about on the website. We visited with our family, and this somewhat spoiled our vacation. Furthermore, there is unfortunately not much else to do here. A disaster for any family vacation. The campsite itself also does not shine with its sanitary facilities, where you have to pay separately for each shower and for hot water to rinse dishes.

Hello, we have been long-term campers for many years at the most beautiful spot on Earth, the family-run Camping Edersee-Paradies, a natural site where you can be who you are. For me, it feels like home, a place just to relax and enjoy. Thank you, dear Edersee-Paradies team, for being there.

The only good thing was the sufficiently large pitch. Unfortunately, the pitches are not designated. The reception opening hours are very limited (closed on Sundays and Mondays). The whole place is very outdated and looks unkept. The price-quality ratio is completely off here. The sanitary facilities are old and dirty. Hot water for washing dishes must be paid for separately, etc. Far from being a ‘paradise’. Never again

Everything begins with a reception that does not deserve its name. Everything feels very improvised, and the friendliness and willingness to help, as well as the gladly accepted information about the site and the activities in the area, which we have been grateful for at many places, were not present here. Throughout the entire site, we had the impression that the maintenance of the facility was discontinued many years ago. Everything looks run down. Toilets without warm water to wash hands and almost nowhere a functioning disinfectant dispenser. Toilets dirty and everything costs extra money (hot water for washing dishes, showers, etc.) Trash on the beach and horse manure at the campsite itself were unfortunately the least of the evils. We would gladly go back to Edersee, but certainly not to this site anymore. What a shame, as the facility itself is located in a very beautiful area.

One of the prettiest campsites I know of, if you don't have high demands. Everything is simple, but clean. There is plenty of nature, animals, and a farm. Particularly suitable for small children.

My fiancé and I rented a caravan there and honestly, one should rent out restored ones and not nearly broken caravans!

Well equipped and regardless of where you are, it’s only a few meters to the beach. Perfect hiking terrain!
