Campingplatz am Achernsee

First of all, I want to say that I cannot quite understand the previous speakers - I experienced it differently or perceived it differently - it is certainly not a campsite where I would spend 3 weeks on vacation, but with the lake as a swimming option, it is bearable for a few days... many children, but they did not bother me. It is a good starting point for bike tours - I will definitely come back here for a short trip.

Staff very nice! Showers clean, no idea what happened here last year!? Typical transit campsite though with a good restaurant and a nice lake. Unfortunately a bit loud but well organized and solution-oriented.

Loud, dirty, the staff is only friendly when there is money to be made, otherwise quite unfriendly, dogs run freely around the area and bark at the guests. The operators only care about their restaurant, they don't care about how the campers feel. The parking spots are partly totally cluttered, hoarders would feel at home here.

Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are getting dirtier. Showers for the ladies are moldy, toilets are cleaned briefly (10-20 seconds). Supposedly fully booked, but many places are free. Fallen trees by the lake are not removed, danger spots in the tree canopy are ignored/not addressed. It seems there is a lack of passion and love for the place! We probably won't come back.

The campsite has greatly declined in cleanliness and customer friendliness. We have been coming here for vacation for years and since the new tenants, it is no longer the same. Dirty and moldy sanitary areas, missing trash cans, broken items are no longer replaced, trash on the beach and sunbathing area, and the restaurant is not recommended. Very, very disappointing!

Campsite near the highway with corresponding noise ambiance, a place influenced by permanent campers. Small plots, most cars must park in a lot before the barrier. Maximum length of tourist pitches about 9 meters (including the drawbar). Okay for 1 overnight stay. Sanitary building and restaurant by the lake in the middle of the site. 70s style, no individual washing cabins, small showers. No pitches with water-sewage. The restaurant has Greek cuisine, quite okay. Bread roll sales in the morning, otherwise no shop on site. Outdated long lunch break from 1 to 3 PM. McDonald's and rest area about 5 minutes away.

A very large, beautiful campsite by a great swimming lake. The pitches are very large, showers okay, toilets and washrooms could be a bit cleaner. We were welcomed very kindly, everyone was very friendly! The nearby highway can be heard, but it's not that bad!

We visited Lake Achern twice and were very satisfied. We do not understand why there are such bad reviews; everything was very clean, the operators are very nice and helpful. The restaurant is great, the food is very good. The night rest was good, it always depends on where you have your pitch. The bathing lake is clean and the sanitary facilities were also well cleaned the whole day. We will come back and look forward to it.
