Small quiet idyllic campsite. Very welcoming, especially for dogs. Clean sanitary facilities. Particularly suitable for paddlers and boating enthusiasts.

Idyllic, quiet campsite with very friendly staff. The showers and toilets should be cleaned more often. The site has everything you need and is very well maintained.

Camping Park Schlei Karschau. The name is massively exaggerated. It is a medium-sized site characterized by many permanent campers. A slightly unattractive site. Tourists are taken to the bumpy and sloping meadow. The path to the sanitation building and the reception is quite far. Sanitary facilities are fine and clean. Unfortunately, showers can only be operated with 50 cent coins for 4 minutes; but they work well and are fine; start and stop function perfectly. Very restrictive and sparse reception and barrier hours. The only positive thing is the location. Kappeln and Arnis are only a few kilometers away and easily reachable by bike. The Schlei waterfront is separated from the site by the main road. We do not need to go back here. The only bright spot or positively highlighted is the restaurant located right next to it! Schlei Stübchen: Very friendly staff! A young team that takes great care of their guests! It is a nice place to stop by!

We spent 14 days at the campsite and were not impressed. The area is very beautiful, but the site seems unkempt. The paths are filled with gravel, which is surely cost-effective, but not good for campers. Bicycles have no grip, and walking on it is also very difficult. The sanitation is very clean, but the surroundings look shabby. Weeds are growing everywhere, flower pots that were placed for decoration were dried up. The benches really need to be refurbished, because no one wants to sit on them like this. The campsite operator didn’t even show up on the site but just sat on the terrace in front of his office. We definitely will not be coming back.

This area is run like many others where dogs are allowed. The behavior in the area with dogs is also signposted, but no one checks the behavior and worse, no one adheres to it. Dogs are walked in all forms in the area. Especially where a tent or caravan spot is available, as experienced during the 2 days of our stay. We arrived on Saturday and left on Sunday. There was a corner spot that served as the dog toilet and on Friday evening suddenly a small tent appeared with 2 young people................. The sanitary facilities were very clean, but around the area there was nothing (except the Schlei) and also no hiking paths along the water, no bus stop, just a better snack bar than a restaurant. We will not stay there again.

after our tour through the High North our final site; very nice, small place directly by the Schlei; great staff, friendly, always approachable; very clean and well kept; good starting point to explore the vast surroundings with a subsequent return to relaxation; the Schlei itself invites you to swim; it was a very good decision for the place; by the way, a small but fine and delicious restaurant at the site.

We were three people at the very back of the campsite in the romantic corner. It was very very nice and completely quiet. I have a few criticisms. In my opinion, checking the sanitary facilities once a day is too little. Sometimes by the afternoon, the hand towels were already empty and the flowers in front of the sanitary areas could also be made beautiful again. Regarding the toys in the sandbox, they were completely scattered all over the playground, partly broken, and nobody played with them anymore; I believe these could be collected and disposed of. The electricity in the romantic corner was, however, underground. The extension cable was lying in the grass, and since it rained heavily with thunderstorms, we temporarily had no power, which was not a big deal. I would wish for a decent power box that is covered so that no moisture can get in and a water connection would be great. We did bring a canister, but the way to the toilet is quite long. I’m glad I didn’t have to use the stoves in the kitchen; they looked quite in need of cleaning. The rolls were very tasty. I generally think there is still a lot of room for improvement when it comes to the maintenance of the site. Our lawn at the back was really really high, making it hard to keep our feet dry. Otherwise, we had a very good rest and will definitely come back.
