Königlicher Campingpark Sanssouci

A very nicely located spot overlooking the lake, very good washrooms, very clean, spacious washing and shower cabins, dog-friendly place, no playground for children, scenic location, close to the city

Everything we needed was available. We especially liked the transfer to the tram, which we used daily. The staff was always very friendly.

The site is very well-maintained and clean, the sanitary facilities and showers are top-notch, the restaurant Anna Amalia comes highly recommended, and all the staff are friendly and helpful.

The sanitary facilities are clean, spacious, modern, and available in sufficient numbers. The location of the site is great for activities by bike, on foot, or by train. The pitches are very tight, and the ground is pure sand. Actually not a problem—even in the rain—but when the rainwater completely floods our pitch and we can’t leave the motorhome without getting our feet wet, that's not acceptable. The technicians tried to remedy the situation and were quick to arrive. But a lady from the reception (I believe she runs the team) does not take personal requests and complaints seriously and leaves holidaymakers with problems in the lurch. If the problem has been referred to the technician, it works!

Camping in nature. There, nature is still in good shape. I could even hear a cuckoo several times a day.

Great campsite: dream location in the woods right by the lake. Clean and modern sanitary facilities. Very good restaurant on the site. BUT: catastrophic power supply at the pitch! We were at the site for a week over Easter. Previously, it seems the power supply at the pitches had just been switched to digital power meters. This transition meant that no electrical appliance over 1000 watts worked for us. Actually, the power connection is supposed to supply automatically up to 16A. We couldn't even get devices to work that run without problems at 6A in Southern Europe. So there was no coffee machine, no kettle, no hair dryer,... :-( Since the campsite is designated as a premium campsite, this is obviously unacceptable. Unfortunately, the staff did not manage to solve the problem during our week. What a shame, otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

Pro: Good location, electricity, water, waste water on site. Modern shower houses, short distances, clean, special feature: sinks in individual cabins. Good restaurant on site, small shop with the essentials, also open on Sundays and public holidays, delicious rolls on pre-order, gas exchange possible, also Alugas. Great location to explore Potsdam and the surrounding area. Some water sports options at the lake. Con: Electricity only 6A included (but you can book more), through traffic (hikers, cyclists), so secure valuables and bicycles well. No dog area or anything like that. Comparatively high prices, including the shop (gas filling 11 kg 37 EUR!). Overall, a nice site, pitches vary greatly in size - including the high-priced ones. Therefore, it is better to make a reservation by phone and clarify the required size. An 8m caravan with a large awning only fits on a few pitches. In any case, a recommended site.

There is nothing to complain about the place, it is simply great and quietly located
