Campingpark Gut Ruhleben

A very beautiful and peaceful site with a swimming area and great cycling paths around the lake.

A nice quiet spot with a small convenience store available.

A fantastic pitch, super friendly staff, and clean sanitary facilities.

Overall, it's quite okay (clean washrooms, picnic benches, level grassy areas for the tent, nice swimming spot, friendly staff). I would have additionally appreciated if someone had checked before setup whether the 3m distance rule was being followed. Unfortunately, I had to move my things because a group of men did not adhere to it and set up right next to me, only 1m away, and then disappeared. As a solo traveling cyclist, I would have liked more support.

The site is very beautiful, situated by Lake Plöner. On the other side, there is a small forest. For our dogs, it was a paradise. The site is clean, the washroom 3 is tidy and always well-maintained. Very friendly people at the reception, and a small shop for essentials is also right there. Overall, a quiet and lovely place at a good price.

I would recommend the campsite to dog owners. Otherwise, there were definitely too many dogs. They were always on a leash, but the owners sometimes did not have control over their animals. When a simple leash is all that stops a dog from jumping on me in an unfriendly manner and potentially biting me, the fun stops. The owner apologized. I still find this unacceptable. Other than that, the facility was clean and tidy. The reception was well-staffed, and the employees were very friendly!

Well-maintained sanitary facilities, drinking and waste water available on site, extras like a dog shower – which we didn't use, but it shows that four-legged friends are also welcome. Cashless shopping until 8 PM for the necessities. Everything has been considered! We would love to come back!

This wonderful combination of - a quiet location a bit away from the main roads - directly situated by Lake Plöner - surrounded by a beautiful forest area - the more than generous space for each individual pitch - electricity directly at the pitch - well-kept and daily cleaned shower and toilet facilities - and a shop right at the reception for anything you might have forgotten, is simply the dream for every camper. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our days at Campingplatz Gut Ruhleben and will definitely return.
