The lake is beautiful. Some staff members are nice... BUT the security guy at the entrance is completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, he fits all the clichés one might associate with it. He cannot speak in a normal tone. It always came across to us as aggressive and unfriendly. The restrooms could be much cleaner. The grass should be mowed before long weekends. They choose to comment on bad reviews instead of deleting them. That’s how they also attain 4.6 stars. We will not visit the site again and also advise our friends against it. Over the weekend, an entire group consisting of families had to leave after posting a bad review. The gentlemen exercised their house rights.

Staff is friendly. Place is absolutely neglected and even the new sanitary facilities are unclean. Beware! The operator allows bad reviews to be deleted!

Spent a weekend there 4 weeks ago and thought a long time about what to write about the place. Besides that it is absolutely run-down, not much comes to mind. Sanitary facilities are mega old, no doors in the showers, just curtains. Many pitches that could better be described as a dump. Late departure booked on Sunday.. On Friday it was 6€, on Sunday it suddenly became 9€ and only in cash. Bathers are present everywhere on the site, no separation. Deletes negative reviews. The only positive is the lake itself and the gastronomy.

Very good booking system and friendly staff. For tourists, the pitches on the west bank are recommended. The rest is dominated by permanent campers. The two sanitary facilities there are in need of renovation. The beach bath with sandy beach is very nice. Others lack maintenance (e.g., mini-golf not playable). Haven't seen for a long time: Our 2 cable reels (50 m together) were not enough for connecting to the distant power box. Such things shouldn't happen (no indication when booking – explicitly booked with electricity 16 A). An additional cable reel (Schuko) was made available. We tested the restaurant positively (small menu, inexpensive, good, friendly service). 33 EUR/N in high season mid-July for 2 persons with trailer including showers, beach bath, and electricity is not a bargain, but it's the standard for 2025.

The campsite has potential, but it is not utilized in any way: dirty sanitary buildings (inside and outside), when the cleaning staff leaves the sanitary building, you wonder what exactly has been cleaned. There is disorder all over the site, overflowing containers left everywhere, the garbage collection area stinks extremely, as not even one container is taken away. Nowhere is mowed, apparently no one is doing anything to contribute to order and cleanliness. Only the lake and the sandy beach are great. A shame for the beautiful location of the campsite.

The only good thing was the location by the lake. The rest of the site, well. Very run down. The two old sanitary buildings are just disgusting (mold, dirty shower curtains). Hygiene is not a priority here. The coin machines (6 shower tokens for 9! €) for the showers do not work. Reluctantly, you get replacement tokens. There are no water points on the site. You have to walk to the washhouse, which, depending on where you are, can be quite far away. Sometimes you feel like you're camping in a junkyard. We have been camping for over 30 years, but we've never experienced a place like this. I can't explain where some of the good reviews come from.

We were there over the weekend and the place itself was nice. However, the new sanitary building wasn't really cleaned the entire weekend. It was quite disgusting at times. Even the showers look… for the 10 euros per card we had to pay for the sanitary building, I expect a certain level of cleanliness here.

A very nice campsite by the lake surrounded by the Lahn River which loops around the area. Good sanitation facilities and many opportunities to fill up on water. The staff is very friendly, both the lady at the kiosk and the employees who maintain the site. A huge thank you to the team at the reception. Super good service 👌🥳. I was able to recover wonderfully. Thank you very much, beautiful greetings and see you soon. Best regards, Markus
