Camping Wagenburg

Great landscape right by the Danube. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated and could be cleaner. It was unpleasant that on the second day a larger group with tents was placed among many family campers and they celebrated until the early morning hours. There was no chance of sleep.

We stayed for 2 days at the campsite with our camper van. The site is very close to nature and not subdivided. The access road is highly restricted in height; a motorhome cannot come in here. The owner is very nice but a bit "scatterbrained". The sanitary facilities are very outdated and were dirty. Since I am an early riser, I can say: It shouldn't look like this in the morning! The prices in high season are okay (24 euros for 2 people including camper van per day.)

The place is very beautifully located, but gives an unkempt impression. Very crowded on weekends. The sanitary facilities are not equipped for it. Showers 1 EURO ?. 1 bottle of beer 2.50 EURO. ? No shopping possibility. 15 km to the nearest supermarket. Restaurant in the village not recommended.

Simply good. Many outdoor activities. Great for dog owners. Flammkuchen is very tasty. Danube is nearby. Super good audience. Very clean.

Beautiful, non-partitioned campsite with a very nice uncomplicated operator. We could simply choose a spot on the large meadow and set up our caravan. Super! At the kiosk, there is what you need and even delicious cake at noon. The sanitary facilities were always clean. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

Here, camping is still camping - a dreamy place where one can relax fantastically. Everything is rather simple and original - those looking for strictly partitioned sites will search here in vain. Exceptions are only a few places with ground plates for particularly heavy vehicles. Visitors simply set up wherever they like on the meadow. The meadow is not completely short-mown but is actually still a meadow. The site, located directly by the Danube, attracts many climbers, canoeists, and cyclists. Thus, it gives the impression that sports hobbies contribute as a common denominator to the absolutely relaxed interaction among the visitors. The operator remains calm even during times of greater crowds at the kiosk (the delicious cakes and great advice attract visitors) and is always friendly and really, very, very helpful. A great spot without much frills - nature, the Danube, and the guests are enough for themselves here - you can't really slow down better!

The area is an unpartitioned lawn space with partially paved pitches at your own choice directly on the shore of the shallow Danube. Sufficient, centrally located clean sanitary facilities. Well-stocked kiosk; restaurants and bread supply within walking distance. The single-track railway line that limits the area is rarely used with railcars and does not disturb. Fixed accommodations (construction trailers etc.) can also be rented in a limited scope. Relaxed atmosphere, many young families with children of all ages. Nice, relaxed-looking site for a longer stay.

We had two wonderful weeks of vacation at the beautiful camping site Wagenburg in Hausen im Tal. A small campsite with a lovely view into the beautiful Danube valley and the "Hausener Zinnen", many hiking and biking destinations (Danube bike path), swimming opportunities right by the tent, nice people, good sanitary conditions, and everything was just great. We will definitely come back here again!
