Camping Village Torre Pendente

Pros

A clear and clean campsite. Very nice and friendly staff. The minimarket has everything you need at reasonable prices. The pool was very refreshing for the kids. The proximity to Pisa is good, but Pisa is very crowded. The proximity to the train station is great, as many attractions are reachable by train, such as Lucca. The pitch/rental accommodation is small but has everything necessary.

Cons

Why is a swimming cap required for pool use? The restaurant on the campsite is quite expensive.

The place has everything you need. A great pool (swim cap required), a small market, and a restaurant (coperto rip-off). The pizza at the restaurant was really delicious!

Good: The location - close enough to Pisa. Bad: Toilets are very unclean. Toilet seats always flip up unless you sit on them. Therefore, hygiene measures before use are impossible. No soap and no paper towels or anything for hand drying in the washrooms. Recommended for max. 1 night. Place has a 'city camping feel'.

We were passing through and didn't want to miss visiting Pisa. The sanitary facilities were always clean at our time, showers very large, and there was also a chair for placing belongings and storage options in the shower itself for shampoo and the like. Only a day later, when the site became full, did the messy campers arrive without shame. The staff is very friendly and speaks very good English. Super central for excursions to Pisa, about 10-15 minutes on foot. Camping site restaurant is recommendable. The pool is, in our opinion, completely adequate; you are anyway out in the city all day. There is a little animation for kids, but you don’t hear it at the site. For us, it was great and we can recommend the site.

Well located to view the Leaning Tower of Pisa

Conveniently located and acceptable, but Warning: advertising stickers are applied to the vehicle unnoticed! Extremely annoying
