San Francesco Camping Village

Positive: Good restaurant, sanitary facilities are spacious and clean. Negative: Showers are missing at the beach, spots are very small and get muddy when it rains. A bit of gravel would be needed here. Cassette emptying is only available for a fee.

The location is very good but it feels like an animal shelter, partly 4 dogs per spot. The beach is used as a dog toilet, that's how it smells. I would like to come back if there was a separate area without dogs. Otherwise, everything is fine.

Beautiful campsite with a good location by Lake Garda. Pitches vary depending on what you book. From large to tiny. Therefore, you should spend a little more or take what you get. Sanitary facilities are always clean and well-maintained. Pool as well. Unfortunately without a slide. The washing machine costs extra. Otherwise, there is really nothing to complain about. The staff is friendly. If the supermarket is too expensive 200m away, there is a Maxi Gross. It would be nice if all dog owners picked up their mess.

During the Easter holidays, it was sometimes a bit louder.

We were at this campsite for the second time, this time for fourteen days. We had a spot in the first row by the lake (but you should reserve very early). The location is fantastic, with a great view of the lake. The area is excellent for cycling excursions, public transport is also very good, especially the ferry connections to the surrounding towns. Sirmione is particularly recommended, a visit to Jamaica Beach is a must. All in all, a very nice campsite with plenty of opportunities to explore the area. We would love to come back again.

We had to leave after two days due to an illness. Nevertheless, the full 14 days were charged, and no accommodating solution was offered upon request.

We had booked and paid in advance for 3 days. Due to the sudden change of our ferry to Greece, we arrived 1 day earlier and departed 1 day earlier. We then had to pay for a total of 4 days on the site for only 2 days! The young lady at the reception was stubborn. I have been traveling with a motorhome in Europe since 1980. I have never experienced such behavior before. Positively, we were provided with a substitute pitch upon our arrival at 9 PM. Negatively, we had to vacate the substitute pitch the next morning because it was supposedly reserved. At our departure the next morning, the pitch was still unoccupied. The campsite is fine, but it is rated too high at 5 stars.

First of all, the site is quite clear. There are various pools, one of which is heated. Negative: sunbeds by the pool cost €15 per day... sorry, we're talking about a 5-star site here. The supermarket is very well stocked, and the prices are absolutely fair; there is no price gouging here. The restaurants are very good in terms of food, and the prices are reasonable. Negative: the washrooms are never clean; however, they have been renovated and are generally acceptable. The beach section is very narrow; most of it is filled with sunbeds, leaving barely any space to spread out with a parasol and beach items. However, the beach is quite clean. The children's program is extensive, but everything costs extra. There is one mini playground that is free, but it is absolutely outdated. The ice cream at the site doesn't taste particularly good. The pitch is large. WiFi is a disaster.
