Vejlby Fed Strand Camping

There is really a lot on offer here. 3 playgrounds, swimming pool, go-kart rental, tennis court, mini-golf, jumping pillow, and a really nice beach. The Baltic Sea here only gets deep very slowly (ideal for children) and the bottom is consistently fine sandy. The pitches are large enough; unfortunately, ours had only limited grass, so that especially with changeable weather, dirt quickly got into the camper. The shop is well-organized and has everything you need - breakfast rolls are very tasty. The washhouse (there is only one) is well thought out but has aged and is probably now too small for the size of the site. The family bathrooms are mostly occupied, and the kitchen and washing room are also always well-filled. The men's restroom/showers are very clear (2 urinals for the entire site, 1 defective) and consequently get dirty quickly. In bright sunshine, however, this is bearable and doesn’t weigh heavily - unfortunately, our weather was more mixed. Oh yes, the operators put in a lot of effort, are very friendly, and also speak good German and English.

We were in Denmark and Sweden for a total of 6 weeks. We actually only booked for 3 nights. However, since we enjoyed it so much here, we extended our stay by another 3 nights. The place was perfect for the children, we had a pitch directly opposite the playground. Everyone was very friendly to us. Insider tip: crab fishing with the kids from the pier, you can buy fishing gear at the kiosk. ;)
