Camping Val de Blois

Directly on the Loire with very large pitches and easily accessible. It's not nice that the standing toilets are next to the sinks and one (woman) has to pass by them to get to the toilet. Shower is great. We would come back.

Friendly reception. At the end of August, we paid about 25 EUR/N (2 people, trailer, electricity). We liked the site with its loosely arranged, spacious plots. No hedges. Very few isolated pitches with a view of the Loire. The traffic on the road on the dike, separated from the campsite, did not disturb us. The cramped sanitary facilities were simple, of quite limited standard. The barrier opens from both directions when approached without code, etc. (if the reception is closed at noon, you can drive in, choose a free spot and register later. This is what the receptionist advised us when he saw us waiting during his lunch break). About 15 km to the Chambord Castle. We enjoyed being here.

Open, spacious area with very large pitches. In the evening, there are many campers/cyclists who settle everywhere, but they don't disturb. There are no real shopping opportunities at the site. Baguettes and croissants for breakfast must be ordered in advance. The toilets and showers are clean. There is no toilet paper, and the hot water for rinsing was lukewarm at best. The site is ideally located for exploring Blois and Chambord.

Very nice, free location, open area with little vegetation for shade. When I visited, the place was quite full. A large youth group, plus many tent campers and day visitors. Two small, modern sanitation huts for the multitude of people. Catastrophe? Because in one sanitation facility there are 3 toilets without toilet paper. Because I disturb women at 2 sinks while urinating in a urinal. Since men and women have to share this cramped sanitation facility. Sorry, catastrophe!

Near Blois, close to the river, next to a not very busy road lies the generous pleasant site. Friendly staff at the reception, clean sanitation facilities. Good for visiting Blois and Chambord.

The site is located right on the Euro Velo Route 6. Friendly reception at the front desk, baguette service. Sanitary facilities clean, unfortunately no toilet paper. The campsite is right next to a busy road, a bit noisy at night.

Quiet, spacious area, good for cycling tours to the castle. Baguette service at the location.
