The site had! great potential for a nice campsite, also due to its proximity to a wonderful beach. But in 2024 it will probably be worse than the previous reporters described. It can no longer be specified as a camping option. Everything is completely rundown, horrifically dirty and unusable. We had to get drinking water in the next town at the supermarket, even though it was already evening. Even doing the dishes was not possible under the circumstances. Good thing we were on the road with the camper and good equipment!

This campsite disappoints in every way. The sanitary facilities are barely acceptable, the site is unkempt, trash from former infrastructure is everywhere. Only a few power distributors (I needed 50 meters of cable)!

We stood in this place for about 2 hours. The reception was unstaffed. There was a large phone number posted 24/7. So we called – no one answered. So much for availability 24/7. Some of the few campers told us in English that someone would come the next day and that we should find a place. So we did. First, we inspected the beach. It was very beautiful and very close. So far, so good. Afterwards, we went to check the sanitary facilities. Some were completely closed or without water, others were in a very miserable condition. Then we filled up a drinking water bottle. The water had a noticeable discoloration and smell. When we inquired further with a camper and were told that the night costs 20€, we hurriedly left the place.

The place itself is very nicely located. It's no problem to take the train to Riga, about 150m to the beach, and the beach is very beautiful. Here you can take very nice beach tours with the MTB (not on weekends, it's too crowded). But the general condition is by no means acceptable, it's a disaster! The sanitary facilities are partly broken and very unkempt (unclean). Unfortunately, if you want to go to Riga, you can't actually avoid the site as a camper. The other site, designated by ADAC, has long ceased operations! So just close your eyes and get through! :-)

The campsite does not meet expectations in any way. The sanitary facilities were so dirty that they were unusable. A small swimming pool has apparently been closed for years. The campsite urgently needs renovation. The beach that is easily accessible is nice.

Sanitary facilities are in a catastrophic condition and can only be entered "with ": torn curtains and burned partitions in the showers, shower heads defective, toilet seats defective, doors defective, floor surfaces are tripping hazards, lighting poor, the siphons at the dishwashing sinks are defective (water comes in from above, wet feet at the bottom). We wanted to photograph all this, but were informed that photography is prohibited at the campground (there is indeed a prohibition sign hanging right next to the ADAC sign at the reception!). The campground is nicely located, the pitches are nice and functional, but due to the sanitary facilities (as described above), the place cannot be recommended.

Completely neglected place. Loud music until late at night. Very basic sanitary facilities in old, unkempt containers. Holiday apartments are extremely unkempt. Only the beach, which is about 200 meters away, is nice. The restaurant on site is basic but acceptable. However, there is only a roof made of sun umbrellas.

Positive: beautifully located, only a 2-minute walk to the flat sandy beach. Good supermarket 5 minutes by car out of town. Negative: sanitary facilities in poor condition, mostly rather dirty. At least hot water for showers. Pool is a ruin. Bar (we wanted to buy fries for the kids) closed early in the evening. We stayed only because of a family member's hospital stay.
