The Camping Vaivari Jūrmala campsite near the Baltic seaside resort of Jūrmala on the Gulf of Riga is located directly on a wide white sandy beach with cafés and bars. Only around 10 km from the Latvian capital of Riga, the campsite in the middle of a coastal forest attracts visitors with well-maintained pitches with electricity, rustic rental cabins, a sauna and a large children's playground. The beautiful Baltic Sea beach with beach volleyball net is just a few minutes' walk away. An indoor swimming pool is 2 km away. Hire bikes are an excellent way to explore the varied coastal landscape. In the evening, a restaurant invites you to enjoy a small menu. A supermarket is 2 km away. WLAN is available throughout the property. In the Kemeri district of Jūrmala, you can relax in the sulphurous healing springs.

Catastrophe This place should not be approached at all
The site had! great potential for a nice campsite, also due to its proximity to a wonderful beach. But in 2024 it will probably be worse than the previous reporters described. Plus: The beach and the proximity to Riga. Otherwise disappointing!
This campsite disappoints in every way. The sanitary facilities are barely acceptable, the site is unkempt, trash from former infrastructure is everywhere. Only a few power distributors (I needed 50 meters of cable)!

A Catastrophe
We stood in this place for about 2 hours. The reception was unstaffed. There was a large phone number posted 24/7. So we called – no one answered. So much for availability 24/7. Help
The place itself is very nicely located. It's no problem to take the train to Riga, about 150m to the beach, and the beach is very beautiful. Here you can take very nice beach tours with the MTB (not on weekends, it's too crowded). But the general condition is by no means acceptable, it's a disaster… More

very outdated and unkempt
The campsite does not meet expectations in any way. The sanitary facilities were so dirty that they were unusable. A small swimming pool has apparently been closed for years. The campsite urgently needs renovation. The beach that is easily accessible is nice.
