In north-central France, on the banks of the Loire and close to the town of Poilly-lez-Gien, the Sites et Paysages Touristique de Gien campsite has everything families could wish for. The well-kept pitches, some of which are parcelled out by hedges and some under trees, and the fascinating views of the Loire and the picturesque old town of Gien from the terrace of the comfortable mobile homes are well worth the stay. On site, you can socialise by the pool, at the snack bar or in the restaurant. The children's entertainment programme is extremely relaxing for parents. Canoeing on the Loire is fun for young and old. Cycling along the river is also a great experience. A grocery shop is just a few minutes' walk away and there is a supermarket in Poilly-lez-Gien.

Terraced grassy terrain, partly with tall trees. Located between the road and the river. Some parts offer views over the river to the old town of Gien.

Fine-grained, flat, large, oval sand beach with a bouncy castle and beach volleyball courts.

👋 Surroundings, nice to visit by bike Campsite/Accommodation: Nice spacious spot with a view of the church and chateau. 👎 Shoes off at the washroom, it was a bit chilly. Campsite/Accommodation: Otherwise OK.

Splendid camping!
🤝 The welcome at the campsite was very friendly. There wasn't a problem too big for them. I recommend 100%! Location/Rental accommodation: It was spacious for us with a tent and car on the site, with a lovely view of the Loire.

👍 The sanitation facility was super clean! The parking spots are large and with nicely maintained grass! The view is wonderful both in the evening and during the day. Campsite/Rental accommodation: Very nice and well-maintained!
