Worst sanitary facilities in the last decades!!!

The swimming pool is great, the staff is very nice and helpful, there is no beach, only a pier, the water quality in this region is terrible, Sirmione, neighboring towns are wonderful, worth seeing, easily accessible by bike. Shopping options at the supermarket are also good. Bread rolls in the morning are boring, no choice, the sanitary facilities are dilapidated, rusty, outdated, disastrous in every respect, it is known, even among long-term campers, it doesn't bother anyone because everyone comes for Sirmione, they apparently accept it, but 4 stars!!! Never again!!!!

Actually, I wanted to write a review here, but the report from my predecessor is completely accurate. Perhaps it is worth mentioning that you have to wear swimming caps in the pool, but that fits with many other mentioned things; I felt transported back to my youth, around 1970. Three days with a plumbing technician and everything would be great!!

Maybe not for everyone's taste

The site impresses in the front row by the beautiful view. There is a pier that allows you to access the lake. Otherwise, this area of the lake is a nature reserve. In one area, some birds feel quite at home. A wonderful sight. However, due to the reeds and the birds, there are more flies to be expected in the evenings. The view over the lake is very beautiful. The parcels are very tight. As soon as a tree stands on the parcel, it gets even tighter. With a normal motorhome with awning and gear, you are over the parcel's boundary. This causes the neighbor to have the same problem. The access roads are narrow. The sanitary building is more in the 80s or 90s category. Very plain, but clean. Toilet paper is only available outside the cabin. The light in the cabin has a motion sensor that stays on for about 10 seconds. After that, it's waving time, every 10 seconds again. The motion sensor is above the door and has a poor response. Just sitting on the toilet and swaying back and forth with your upper body is not enough ;-) Water in the showers is either very hot or very cold. Sometimes you get lucky. However, as soon as a few people are showering, it’s only hot. In general, the site lacks care. Which is really a pity. The site could be a real gem with more maintenance. It is important to mention that in the left area (when looking at the lake), there is a tennis court directly behind it. Very rarely is tennis played there. However, there is a party every Saturday in the summer. There should always be a curfew at 11 PM. Well, those who party may not be good at reading the clock ;-) For those who are not bothered by it, it is only on Saturdays. It can be really exhausting if you don’t enjoy the music or the volume. Especially when someone is there with children. There is no chance of sleep during this time, neither for children nor for adults. The entire team is super friendly. Otherwise, the place is located quietly. At the shoreline, the road is very rarely heard. I can imagine that it can be heard more clearly from other parcels.

There is still room for improvement...

The money is gladly accepted, but otherwise little is done. The parcels are small, and anyone with a trailer, a motorcycle, or anything else has to pay extra. The faucet at the site was defective, the sanitary facilities and sinks as well as the washing machine and dryer could at least be cleaned on the surface. The disabled shower is beyond words, the door could not be closed. No toilet paper, not even holders for your own roll. The light in the toilet goes out after 10 seconds, after that you can wave your arms and hope that the light comes back on. The shop has extremely overpriced prices, the restaurant is not recommended. There is no beach at the site, just reeds, you cannot reach the water except by two piers. We will definitely not return there. Signs of neglect everywhere - the money of the tourists is gladly accepted, but little to nothing is done for the site.

The place is okay, no more, no less. The accesses and parcels are very narrow and small, a challenge with larger motorhomes or trailers. The staff is nice, the restaurant okay. The sanitary facilities could be modernized and could also be cleaner, no toilet paper available...

Simple Site by the Lake

We stayed a few days on this quiet and well-maintained site on our way home, we had a spot in the front row which was really great. The sanitary facilities are clean and the technical equipment is fine. The kitchen is very good, offered at reasonable prices, and the small shop is well-stocked. We will gladly come back!

We were here in the off-season and the description does not apply at all. You don't hear the street and the place has 2 piers leading through the reeds into the water - wonderful, to bathe in this dreamlike nature "with the ducks and swans." The reeds are mostly so low that you can see the lake well. There are many pitches in the front row by the water. Anyone looking for nature without animation is in the right place in the off-season (only the one we can judge).
