We spent two nights here during our maiden voyage. The site is manageable and quiet. We had a beautiful and large pitch. We found the swimming pond great. We would love to come back.

We were very disappointed with the New Year's Eve menu costing 48 euros per person, and there were only cold platters and bread for that price you could easily have gotten a 4-star menu, but that's how you attract customers. Very 😠 sad. Otherwise, I wonder where the 5 stars come from, you get no information unless you ask. THE washroom and the sanitary facilities were impeccably clean, but the showers were very cramped.

The family-friendly campsite is a great starting point for cycling tours in the Markgräflerland. The owners are nice. A beautiful natural lake rounds off the facility.

In mid/late May 2023, the natural swimming pond is not usable due to construction work. The swimming pool is half pumped out, there are hoses and pumps in it, and the remaining water is green and brackish. Unfortunately, the swimming pond is exactly the only attraction of the place, which is why people travel there. Neither on the internet on the homepage, nor in the phone call is there any mention of this. You arrive there with the intention to swim and sunbathe on the lawn, and the area is closed off with a digger standing there, of course at full overnight rates. When I asked why there was no information given over the phone or on the internet, the response was that if I had explicitly asked, she would have told me that there was construction. She couldn't have known that I wanted to swim. So if one assumes that fixed infrastructure and services that are advertised work, one must call in advance and ask whether toilets, showers, swimming pond, etc. are operating, which is actually impossible, and almost constitutes fraud, as one pays precisely for that and decides to come here because of it. The way customers are treated in the event of a complaint is also highly unprofessional. At least I was not charged any fees for a brief 4.5-hour stay. That’s how long it took me to realize that the main attraction was not available and to pack up again. One should also know that the pitches at the back part of the place are poorly laid out, the path to the washing house is long, and the road traffic from the neighboring countryside is sometimes very loud. Now, of course, some anonymous reviews with 5 stars will come in again to put everything back in the right light.

The owner couple is extremely courteous and helpful. Guests before us even had the option to choose between different types of ground with their tent. WiFi costs 1,- EUR per day for 1 device. Switching between different devices is uncomplicated. The quality and speed are excellent. We were able to work without any problems (video conferences). Rolls service with a large selection The sanitary facilities are spacious and always clean!

Stayed there for one night as a stopover. The site is very well maintained, and the sanitary facilities are clean and tidy, as is the whole area. We would be happy to come back.

We had booked a pitch of the category ‘Maxi Comfort’ for the Easter holidays. The reception was neither warm nor professional - we were not given any details about the site. WLAN is chargeable and cannot be used with multiple devices. You always have to completely log off one device to log on another. Unfortunately, the space assigned to us was in the newer section, which borders directly on a very busy, noisy road. The paths to the central sanitary building from there were long. The area with the new pitches is more than unlovingly laid out and looks like a neglected field. We requested another place (even a lower category). Unfortunately in vain - there was no understanding. It is understandable that the site was well booked over Easter. However, the fact that the location of the so-called new area was not communicated beforehand is unacceptable. Otherwise, we certainly would not have reserved here. It was so loud that we left after the first night. And even the departure was not characterized by friendliness. The promotional photos on the homepage are beautifully and invitingly made. In reality, the natural swimming lake looks like a overgrown pond. And by ‘Schwarzwälder Vesperstube’ we understand something cozy, rustic and not an unloving establishment in train station hall character. We will definitely not come back and can only advise all interested parties to ask exactly about the location of their pitch when making a reservation.

Great campground, very nice owners. Fresh bread rolls in the morning, very clean and heated toilets and showers, what more could you want, super sunny location, even at the beginning of February. We will definitely come back!!

A total of 85 parceled-out pitches are available for holidaymakers on the almost 3-hectare site. The pitches each offer 100 m² of space and the many trees on the site ensure a high degree of privacy. Electricity and water connections, well-maintained sanitary facilities, washrooms and Wi-Fi access ensure an even more comfortable stay. Dogs are also welcome at the campsite, which is open all year round. In terms of leisure activities, the natural swimming lake is one of the highlights for young and old, especially in the warmer months. Alternatively, children can let off steam in the playground, while adults can take advantage of the extensive wellness programme including massages, Reiki and pedicures. Afterwards, you can fortify yourself with snacks and drinks in the kiosk. Thanks to its idyllic location and spaciousness, Camping Sulzbachtal offers plenty of peace and quiet. The surrounding area also offers a variety of natural and cultural excursion destinations. The friendly staff can provide tips on the numerous hiking trails in the region, e.g. the educational wine trail. Just 1.2 kilometres away, it is also worth making a detour to the State Mining Museum, which provides an insight into the area's past.
