Camping Spitzer Stein

so it echoes from the woods to you. The tone of some comments here suggests how those travelers may have behaved at the reception. We have been to Spitzen Stein several times and will be there again in a few days, most recently just under two weeks ago. Always, always we have dealt with very friendly, helpful ladies at the reception. The place itself, well, it has aged a bit, but everything is there, everything is clean, everything works - and all at an unbeatable low price! Our conclusion: Focus on the essentials. Carpe diem! We certainly won't listen to these "loudspeakers" in online reviews anymore!!! The price-performance ratio is top-notch, therefore 5 stars.

Very curt responses at check-in. At 7:00 PM the barrier closes and you can only enter or exit on foot or by bike. RV parking spaces on a sloped meadow with power columns at a huge distance. Our conclusion: thanks, but no thanks!

We were only there for one night, but we nonetheless really enjoyed the beautiful location right next to the jungle-like Brunnenthal. The campsite is nicely quiet in nature, the facility is very clean, and the service is also fine.

Very unfriendly, toilet facility completely outdated. Popular dog area, barking apparently allowed even after midnight. Better not to point out deficiencies, the response will be accordingly. In the meantime, a popular overall playground for children, of course all free education. Well, whoever needs it!

Located on the main route from north to south (A5 at 8KM distance). Ideal for breaking up the journey but also for longer stays. Swimming pool with swimmer, non-swimmer, diving board, small children, water slide. Everything in separate pools. Kiosk with rolls available for pre-order/Sunday meals (registration required). Beautiful old town reachable on foot. Shopping opportunities including a hardware store, all about 3 km away.
