Camping Sønderby Strand

We have been there now for the third time and will definitely go again. The site is very quiet and well-maintained. The sanitary facilities are regularly cleaned and have been partly newly renovated. The operator couple is exceptionally friendly and creates a calm atmosphere that allows the holiday to begin right from check-in. Some of the pitches reach right up to the beach. The site is very child-friendly and there is a small playground with plenty of play equipment. The essentials can be bought at a small shop that also serves as the reception. Bread rolls can be ordered there. There is a snack bar next door with typical dishes like hot dogs and burgers. The prices are reasonable, both at the snack bar and for the site. At the beach, there is a pier and a ramp for launching boats, as well as anchor buoys. The beach has fine sand and it slopes very gently into the water, making it very suitable for children. We had no complaints. We felt very comfortable there and had a very relaxing time.

The small place is clean and well maintained. Very quiet, original and simple. Very friendly operators. The site is divided into two parts, sea side and land side. My 5 stars refer to the sea side. There are some spots with sea view. Due to the direct view of the lagoon, you can also see a few ships and the lighthouse. The spots on the land side are also okay but offer no view. The location of the place is quite isolated.

A small and quiet place, lovingly and familiarly run, simple and straightforward, clean and tidy, the entire facility is well-maintained. Some pitches have a direct view of the sea. The only drawback is that the beach is very rocky, and there is a stretch with water plants that needs to be swum across; it's not a problem from the jetty, behind it is about 1.40 deep with fine sandy bottom and crystal clear water.
