Camping Romantica

One star for the location: After we first visited this beautifully situated campsite in 2025 with our motorhome, we arrived a day early at the beginning of August, coming from France with a phone reservation, and were surprised to see that the site seemed almost fully booked compared to the previous year. Everyone was standing very closely together. The spacious site had unfortunately been halved. The site was unfortunately not as we remembered it. On the other side of the new wall, everything seemed empty. We would have liked to stand a little more freely and asked whether it would be alright if we quickly drove over to see if there was a spot available. We would gladly return if no spot could be found. This was initially met with understanding. Unfortunately, everything was reserved over there, so we returned to Camping Romantik. Very unfriendly, actually quite rude. A shame for the great Italian hospitality. Wanted to stay one night and was sent away very unfriendly even though the place was half empty.

Very beautifully located spot, right by the lake. Very friendly and always helpful staff. We were welcomed and bid farewell very kindly. From 3 days, we turned into 14 days of stay because we enjoyed it so much. The toilets and shower houses, which are a bit dated, are cleaned multiple times daily and are always very clean. The paths to the cabins are very central and easily accessible from all plots, which was very important for us since I broke my foot before the vacation. The plots are very spacious and partially shaded by the trees, which was also very important for us with our old dog. We felt very comfortable and will definitely not have been there for the last time.

We have been on this site for many years. The site has aged, but is always well-maintained and kept clean. The sanitary facilities are also regularly cleaned. We cannot confirm the unfriendly staff, as they have always been friendly and helpful to us. The family-run site supports wild living cats, both medically and with food. Injured birds like ducks, crows, or geese are taken care of here and released back into nature. Animal protection and help for wild animals of all kinds is greatly emphasized here and supported both financially and through personal effort.

At the reception stands a lady who probably gets paid to scare away as many tourists as possible.

For over 30 years, we have been coming here from time to time, and we have always been very satisfied. Especially because of the tranquility. Anyone looking for excitement should go to Ballermann. The staff is very friendly if you treat them kindly; they have often helped us in difficult situations. We are very satisfied.

We really liked the plateau and we would love to come back.
