Site
Slightly sloping meadow with old black poplar trees, but also younger vegetation. View of a small island with a castle. Near the railway line (no train traffic at night).
Access to water
About 200 m long, deep sunbathing lawn above the shore wall, bathing jetty at the water.
Note
Depending on the amount of winter rainfall, the water of this lake floods most of the bathing beaches of the local campsites during the summer months. During this time, you have the opportunity to access the water from the shore wall. After a dry summer, the water level drops, creating narrow strips of beach at the foot of the shore wall, only a few meters wide.

Large space with great views of the lake. Good dining options at the site, as well as shopping opportunities. The place is easily accessible on foot. Sanitary facilities are somewhat outdated, but clean. Friendly staff.

We booked 10 days in September. The communication was in English, but very friendly and easy. A deposit was not necessary, which shows trust, but should not be abused as the place is fully booked. Access to the site is a bit tricky. The exit via Sulzano is recommended. Really nice pitches. Even in the 3rd row still with the best view of the lake. The restaurant is top-notch. Pizzas for under 10€ in genuine handmade quality. Very tasty. Daily changing menu. Many return around us and we will probably want to come back again as well. Very friendly reception, they try to speak German, but manage just fine with broken English. All in all, we highly recommend this place.

Great campsite! Unfortunately noisy neighboring campsite or club

Great campsite. The pitches are sufficiently sized, as you spend your time by the lake or on the grass area anyway. Many Dutch visitors, who did not display any negative behavior at all. The sanitary facilities are very well maintained and sufficiently available. The campsite is absolutely recommended. The only thing that is 'annoying' for us as a family (since two of us are also sleeping in a tent) is the loud music from the neighboring campsite or club. So far, three evenings in a row. One evening there was live music, which sounded good. The mixed music just thumps out of poor speakers. You can hear the train and traffic noise, but everything is easily accessible on foot.

Great Campsite!

We were only there for 2 days as a stopover, then almost a week on the return trip. Very friendly reception, well-maintained in all areas, adequate and clean sanitary facilities, and a unique location by the lake, not far from the town center of Marone. All pitches are on grass, not large, but sufficient. The catering on site is good and unusually affordable - there is actually nothing negative to find. The surroundings with the opposite island and the mountains in the background crown the whole experience. Ideal for motorhomes, we will definitely go there again!

Very nice campsite with super friendly and helpful owners

great location right by the shore, lake view from every spot, as the orientation of the vehicles is taken into account. Parking spaces are assigned so that the central axis remains free. Very clean and well-maintained, good restaurant on site. Great for hiking, cycling, and relaxing. Wi-Fi can be a bit slow depending on the number of connected devices.

Very nice campsite, but many Dutch people
Very good8
Anne
A very beautiful campsite, we have been there three times already. From all the pitches there is a view of the lake. The sanitary facilities are very clean, and overall the site is very well-maintained. Drawback: a lot of Dutch people (predominantly) spreading out in large groups on the sunbathing lawn and along the shore. Especially during corona times, the topic of distance seems to be a foreign word for them. Masks are generally not worn even though there is a sign at the entrance to the restaurant indicating the mask requirement. Unfortunately, the staff does not remind people of this. In general, no one wanted to see proof of vaccination or a negative test result, which seems somewhat strange given the number of guests.
