Beautiful campsite directly by the lake
We spent 2 days at the beginning of April at this very beautiful site with a view of the Largo di Piano. We were welcomed very warmly in German by the daughter of the operating family. We were allowed to choose a larger spot in the entire back area with a view of the lake. Although the sanitation bu… More

Great place to find peace in nature
Super nice reception and very accommodating staff. A great price and direct access to the lake for swimming or jumping into the pool. The surroundings invite you to hike along small winding paths, where you can discover buildings from decades ago. A dream for the dog (even if it should be kept on … More

Very nice shady spot near the nature reserve, large individual pitches. Very friendly staff, great pizzeria adjacent, 3 minutes of warm showers for 50 cents could be optimized (the only criticism)

Situated on the picturesque Lago di Piano and just a few kilometres from the more famous Lago di Lugano and Lago di Como, Camping Ranocchio welcomes nature lovers to Carlazzo. Grandiose panoramas whet the appetite for discoveries in the surrounding area.
Green forests cover the mountains that flank famous lakes such as Lake Lugano and Lake Como between the Grisons and Bergamo Alps. Lago di Piano, situated at an altitude of 287 metres, is a true idyll between the two lakes. Camping Ranocchio is located directly on the lakeshore with a 200-metre-long pebble beach and a five-metre-wide sunbathing lawn. Children can also have fun in the paddling pool and on the playground. A heated swimming pool is available for adults and teenagers. The site, which is overgrown with numerous young trees and crossed by a small stream, has 170 spacious pitches, six rental accommodations and covers a total of 2.5 hectares. It is open from April to September, accepts dogs for a fee and is located just five kilometres from the nearest golf course. If you feel more like exploring the lake, you can also go on excursions to the two larger lakes in addition to the bathing lake. A bus stop is just 150 metres away. The Riviera Tremezzina on Lake Como is charming with its numerous villas, including Hollywood star George Clooney's mansion Villa Oleandra. On Lake Lugano, the two local mountains Monte Brè and Monte San Salvatore beckon. Funiculars lead to the summits with romantic panoramic restaurants.
