Terrace-shaped area that was simply great, but is now set to be covered with mobile homes.

We were at this campsite in July and really enjoyed our time there. The pitches are very beautiful and well-maintained. We had a shady spot at the edge of the forest, which was great. The outdoor facilities like the pool, rental houses, and playground are very well maintained or completely new. The only downside (which might change) is that since the sanitary facilities are open, a lot of moths, spiders, etc. come in overnight. That wasn't very pleasant. But apart from these little creatures, the sanitary facilities are also very clean! And it is worth mentioning that the staff is very friendly and accommodating!! We highly recommend this campsite and have noticed that it is very popular! We would love to come back! ;-)

I cannot share the opinion of the previous speaker. With Google Maps, you can see how far the lake is, and I find it really isn't far. For that, you have peace and nature at the site. The reception is very friendly and helpful. We will come back.

We chose this campsite because we were looking forward to standing on the Stand Up Paddle daily, going hiking, and being in pure nature. Upon arrival, we were more than disappointed. The campsite was located directly on a noisy highway. The lake was not 200 m away from the site as stated, but at least 800 m. With 2 children, a dog, and 2 SUPs, it really isn’t easy to walk this distance back and forth several times a day. We were told that you can leave the SUPs there, but you cannot secure them!?! The staff at the reception were not very guest-oriented and not really friendly either. The site didn’t seem inviting at all, and neither did the associated restaurant. We didn’t want to stay, a place that promises so much and delivers so little. The pool photos are taken in such a way that it looks much larger. The pitches were all very gloomy. For us, there was no arrival with a feel-good factor, and that is part of camping for us. The site was not fully booked, we left and found a really nice place "directly by the lake". So far, we have not experienced any goodwill. Our entire deposit of 200 euros was withheld. We hope the money will be used well. We will not recommend this place.

The place offers a lot. The descriptions are accurate. WiFi works, which is important when traveling with teenagers. The pitches are nicely laid out but may not always be easy to access. Our pitch was located very close to the B111 and was really heavily trafficked starting at 6:30 AM. Now in August, 90% of the site is in Dutch hands, which made it harder for the children to make contacts.

Lake Camping Schluga is wonderfully situated and is also ideal for families with teenage children - the WiFi was excellent! The beautiful beach with beach bar is not far away, where you can go stand-up paddleboarding and/or pedal boating. The campsite also has a nice swimming pool with sunbathing area and loungers, and the sanitary facilities are very modern and well-maintained! The restaurant "Zur Waldschenke" is also great! Our pitch was a bit difficult to access due to a stony driveway, but the majority of pitches were easier to drive to! Overall, a very successful campsite, not quite cheap, but worth the money. Carinthia showed us its beautiful side ;-)

We were at this great campsite for 2 weeks in July. The campsite is run with a lot of passion and as a family. Everything was always super clean. The offer for hiking tours etc. is excellent. Wellness is covered by Schluga Hermagor. The Kärntencard is recommended for the wide selection of excursion destinations in the region. We will definitely come back!
