We received a pitch without reservation without any problems in mid-August. The pitches vary in size and some are poorly maintained, often very sandy. The location by the dune is excellent, with great sea views from many pitches. The path to the beach is challenging, sometimes steep and in deep sand. Otherwise, the campsite offers everything a camper's heart could desire: pool, shop, and restaurants. We found the sanitary facilities clean and adequate for high season. One should know that a town or shopping facilities are about 10 km away. We really enjoyed it, and the campsite is highly recommended for a stopover or to visit the dune.

Two weeks after the reopening of the site, we spent two nights there with five people. The site offers various sanitary buildings, a restaurant with a bar, a daily changing food truck, a well-stocked small supermarket, and a beautiful little bathing landscape. All of this has been newly built after the fire. The countless bare, burned pines especially remind one of the fire two years ago. Nevertheless, the place is something special. The pitches can have direct sea views. However, we parked further up because of the wind. Still, it took us less than a minute to enjoy the great view down the dune to the sea. To get to the sea directly, one needs to walk down the dune and can swim there. However, the return path is quite arduous, so we did not go swimming there. The site is a popular spot for many paragliders. The staff is consistently very friendly and also speaks English.

All reviews before July 2023 can be deleted. The CP was a victim of the devastating forest fire in July 2022 and was 90% destroyed. Almost all shade-giving trees have burned down. Since July 2023, it has reopened and there is still much to be done. 3 new sanitary houses are in operation. Since it was quite full in September, the capacity is insufficient. The pool and recreation area has also been newly created. Mini-market, reception, and restaurant are still container solutions. Electricity is available at the pitches, water is not yet. Water can only be obtained at the sanitary houses. Disposal of wastewater and garbage is near the entrance (a bit cumbersome). Wifi is only available for a fee (5€/day I found unacceptable). There is a direct access to the dune - very interesting for paragliders. The pitches are very uneven and some are very small. We arrived early and got a sensational pitch at the edge of the dune with a sea view. A lot has been planted. One cannot expect shade in the coming years. The staff is very friendly and attentive. In 2024, it will look significantly better. We can recommend the CP due to its location and view. The beach is very beautiful. However, after the beach bath, 50 height meters have to be overcome on soft sand!

Directly at the southern end of the hiking dunes, a site sloping down to the sea with many individual sites, hard and barren ground. Currently sadly appearing very apocalyptic due to the burnt tree tops. Absolutely friendly and nice staff, clean and tidy.

Much still takes place in containers. No shade. Direct access to the dune.

However, the place was not optimal for us for the following reasons: - Issues with the sanitary facilities (toilet paper was often empty and overall not very clean). - Not a particularly nice beach. - Staff noticeably unfriendly.

The location is magnificent and the campsite is also very popular. However, very few sites look as beautiful as in the photos. Nevertheless, it is worth spending a few days here. We were here at the beginning of September, did not make a reservation, and still got a spot. As described below, you are driven around by a golf cart and must quickly decide on a pitch. The campsite is located on the Dune du Pilat and due to the natural conditions, the individual pitches vary significantly in size and character. Because of the spatial situation, it is often difficult to create some privacy. Therefore, I would recommend choosing a pitch in the back area and walking a few steps to enjoy the beautiful view. Barbecuing with charcoal is only allowed at designated grilling spots. The sanitary facilities are clean, and toilet paper is available. The showers have mixer taps (which should actually be standard, but is still worth mentioning for French campsites). The restaurant is good and very popular. It is definitely advisable to make a reservation. The shop at the campsite offers the most important essentials.

The Yelloh! Village Panorama du Pyla enchants sea lovers in particular with its truly unique location. Situated directly south of the Dune du Pilat, Europe's highest shifting sand dune at around 100 metres, it offers unforgettable views of the dune, offshore sandbanks and the Atlantic Ocean itself. The nearest sandy beach can be reached directly at the foot of the dune via a flight of steps.
The Yelloh! Village Panorama du Pyla welcomes its visitors with a breathtaking view over the coast at Pyla-sur-Mer, right next to the famous Bassin d'Arcachon. The site offers 333 parcelled-out pitches, often in the shade of the region's typical pine trees. Even the path to the beach is impressive, as it leads directly to the foot of the dune via a steep staircase. For those who find the ascent and descent too arduous, the heated outdoor pools at the campsite offer a good alternative for swimming. The bathing area is surrounded by a 1200 m² sunbathing area and is complemented by a wellness area. Here guests can fully relax in the whirlpool or sauna. Not only body and soul are pampered here, but also the palate. The restaurant and the Yelloh! Village Panorama du Pyla ensure that culinary wishes are also fulfilled. There is also a supermarket on site for self-catering. The campsite is particularly popular with families with children. To ensure that guests can always communicate their concerns, the campsite staff speak German and English as well as French.
The offer outside the campsite is also overwhelming. Climbing the Dune du Pilat is an adventure and offers great photo opportunities. In the Bassin d'Arcachon, nature lovers and beach enthusiasts as well as gourmets get their money's worth. While the latter enjoy the famous oyster farm, beach fans can savour the long Atlantic beach. Nature lovers, on the other hand, will love the more than 150 different bird species. If you want to fly weightlessly like a bird, paragliding is just the thing for you. The region around the dunes is well-known and popular with paragliders. Guests can also make fast progress on the water. In July and August, they can visit and tour both Cap Ferret and the Banc-dArguin island reserve on the regular scheduled boat service. Bordeaux, around 60 kilometres away, is ideal for a day trip.
